Bears, Rams News; N'western Players To Vote To Unionize
(Lake Forest, IL) -- Free-agent quarterbacks Josh Freeman and Adam Weber paid a visit to the Bears Monday. Each worked out with the team along with tight end Matthew Mulligan. ESPN reports that the Bears do not intend to pursue Freeman, who played with the Bucs and Vikings.
Waived Monday by the Bucs were wide receiver Carlton Mitchell, defensive end Ernest Owusu, quarterback Adam Weber and defensive end Markus White. Receiver Derek Hagan, fullback Spencer Larsen and safety Troy Nolan were released.
"That's the way it works on every team, honestly. You want to have the best and most talented team you can have," said Freeman, who is also backed up by veteran Dan Orlovsky and another young quarterback, Adam Weber.

Broncos third quarterback on the night, Adam Weber, came in and hit Greg Orton for a 45-yard completion. After downing the ball in the middle of the field, Matt Prater drilled a 44-yard field goal to give the Broncos the 16-13 victory as time ran off the clock. Just another disappointing ending, as
The Cardinals had tied the game with under a minute to play on a 35-yard field goal from Jay Feely, but the Broncos got into scoring position quickly when Adam Weber heaved the ball down the right side where Greg Orton came down with a leaping, 45-yard catch.
