Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a container having a main chamber in fluid communication with a temperature-moderating chamber. Preferably, a valve, actuated by a spring-biased button preferably positioned on a handle of the container, opens and closes an aperture within the temperature-moderating chamber to permit a hot beverage to flow from the main chamber into the temperature-moderating chamber. A lid having a sipping hole is provided to allow the consumer to consume the beverage from the temperature-moderating chamber.

Abstract:

A dispenser bottle and associated closure has a sifter disposed in the neck thereof, either in the form of castellated vents formed in the interior peripheral edge of the neck or a separate sifter element. A rotatable cap is positioned over the sifter. The cap has holes that align with the vents or holes in the sifter to dispense material from the bottle. A removable lock ring is removeably conjoined to the cap to evidence tampering. One embodiment employs a squeeze tab that is depressed to open the bottle thereby increasing the dexterity required for opening. Another embodiment employs a rotatable sifter that must be held by one hand while the cap is held and rotated relative to the sifter by the other hand. A detent provides resistance to opening.

Abstract:

A system for organizing very similar articles in a container so that the user can readily identify the desired article. A “menu” may be used to readily identify the articles, which preferably are non-food, consumer items, such as bandages or first-aid supplies. The “menu” may be provided in the lid of the container. Abstract:

A packaging system for storing and dispensing liquid or powder products. The product is housed within an inner container having a body defined by a side wall and an opening therein for dispensing the product. A flexible outer shell substantially surrounds the inner container and is removably secured thereto. The outer shell can be designed to resemble the three-dimensional shape of an animal, cartoon character or the like, for superior aesthetic appeal. The contents of the inner container may be sealed with a closure. A three dimensional topper may be provided, which is designed to resemble the head or upper portion of the character being depicted. The outer shell can be squeezed to cause dispensing of the product from the inner container, and can be adapted to hold inner containers of all shapes and sizes. The inner container is easily replaced once empty.

Abstract:

An acoustic speaker system according to this invention is provided that includes a conventional woofer, an electro-acoustic converter that functions as a tweeter, and a system enclosure. The converter includes an electro-acoustic transducer and a variable density hollow body. The transducer includes a piezoelectric sheet and two conductive electrodes. One electrode is disposed on each face of the sheet. Coatings are optionally disposed on each side of the transducer. The transducer is wrapped around a variable density body which may be filled with an acoustic dampening material. The acoustic speaker system enclosure includes a hollow ellipsoidal woofer enclosure with a portion of its outer surface for mounting an electro-acoustic converter, and optionally, a converter cover. The acoustic speaker system also includes an elastomeric cover that is fastened to the dome portion of a woofer.

Abstract:

An acoustic damping material that includes at least one resilient sheet, wherein each of the sheets have a first side and a second side, and wherein at least two portions of the sides face each other to form a multi-layered structure, is provided. The resilient sheet may be made from any resilient polymer film, such as a polyolefin, and especially polyethylene. Also provided is an acoustic speaker system that has an exceptionally flat frequency response, especially at low audible frequencies. The system includes an enclosure, a speaker mounted to the enclosure, and acoustic damping material (according to this invention) inside the enclosure. An acoustic damping panel, which includes a frame and acoustic damping material fixed to the frame, is also provided.
