Abstract:

A method of generating a pre-authenticated link to access a private feed and providing access to the private feed using the pre-authenticated link. A request to access the private feed is received and a first user sending the request is authenticated. A token for the first user is generated when the first user is authorized to access the private feed. The token may identify the first user, the private feed and an owner of the private feed. The token may be embedded within a link and transmitted to the first user. A user is automatically authorized to access the private feed when the token is sent by the user using the link. The link automatically authenticates the first user and allows access to the private feed. The private feed may become inaccessible to the first user when the owner of the private feed revokes access of the first user.

Localization techniques are described. In an implementation, data is parsed from a feed of data that is public and not localized. A template is formed from the data for each locale that is to be supported. The data that is localized for a particular locale is presented is based on a particular template for the particular locale.

Adaptable layouts for social feeds are described. In embodiments, shared content is received as a social network action initiated at a user device by a social network user. An activity is generated based on the social network action to collect metadata associated with the shared content. The shared content and the metadata is then mapped to layout templates that are each generated for different display layout formats associated with different types of client devices. A method and a system provide an online application platform in which an entity may create applications to be shared among users of a user community. The online application platform may provide the users of the user community with information regarding applications and entities and may provide the users with an interface for providing feedback with respect to the applications and the entities.
