Abstract:

A twin pet leash prevents tangling by permitting the reel portion to rotate relative to the handle portion, and features individually controllable leash stop mechanisms. Even while an individual leash is stopped, the reel portion can rotate relative to the handle portion so that tangling of the pet leashes is avoided. The leash handle portion has two triggers which are color coded to match the color of the leash, so that a user can readily identify which of the two leashes are to be stopped. Either or both of the leashes can be stopped or released, without interfering with the operation of the other one of the leashes.

Abstract:

A tie out for restraining multiple animals includes a frame having a central post, and an axle arranged perpendicularly to the central post, wherein the axle is rotatable about a vertical axis defined by the central post. The tie out may further include a first reel mounted on the axle and rotatable about a horizontal axis defined by the axle, and a first cable that is wound on the first reel. The tie out may further include a second reel mounted on the axle and rotatable about the horizontal axis, and a second cable wound on the second reel, wherein the first reel rotates around the axle independently of the second reel. The tie out further includes a cable guide arranged between the first reel and the second reel, wherein the cable guide is configured to prevent the first cable or the second cable from becoming tangled on the tie out.

Abstract:

A leash includes at least one light emitting device that is configured to move when a lead line moves to permit the focal point of the light emitted from the light emitting device to be automatically-aimed toward a pet in response to motion of the pet. The self-aiming of the light emitting device may occur automatically so that a user holding the leash does not have to do any adjustment of the holding of the leash to cause the light emitting device to be aimed toward the pet as the pet moves during a walk.

Abstract:

A leash assembly includes lead line that is extendable out of and retractable into housing attached to a pliable handle or is affixed to a pliable handle. In embodiments where the leash is retractable and extendable from the housing, a pliable handle may be directly attached to the housing. The pliable handle can be comprised of gel or other pliable material so that a force from a user can deform a shape of the handle to reduce fatigue associated with holding onto the handle while walking a pet or otherwise having the leash attached to a pet animal.
