Abstract:
The invention comprises a soda can lid which forms a seal with ones upper lip during thereby preventing spillage and eliminating residue. The raised platform area on the lid is connected to the pull-tab area with outwardly sloping walls designed to engage the lips. The platform area is slightly higher than the depth of a circular peripheral groove ranging up to slightly higher than the rim. The lid may also include seal portions extending upwardly from the platform on both sides of the depressed pull-tab area. The invention may be employed on lids either with or without a peripheral groove. Another feature of the invention is a pull-tab with an arch handle and special puncture tip for easier more comfortable use by consumers.

Abstract:
A dual dispensing mode cosmetic compact for use with a cosmetic powder puff, cosmetic applicator sponge, or cosmetic brush, has a base member with an annular lip, a well to hold a cake of cosmetic material, and a closure lid receivable onto the base member. A scraper member located adjacent the well is engageable with the upper surface of the cosmetic cake. Finger-engageable structures adjacent to the well are turnable thereon, and there is a driving connection between the finger-engageable structures and the scraper member, which effects corresponding turning movement of the latter during turning of the finger-engageable structures. In one mode, the scraper member shaves off limited quantities of the upper surface of the cosmetic cake to produce controlled amounts of dust-like cosmetic powder particulates therefrom. In another mode, the scraper member is shifted by the user, to a second position remote from and outside of the annular lip. This second position fully exposes the upper surface of the cosmetic cake and enables direct access to the cake surface by a cosmetic powder puff, cosmetic applicator sponge, or cosmetic brush.

Abstract:
A cosmetic stick applicator for treating the lips of a person. The applicator has an elongate, tubular body with an inner chamber for storing a chemical formulation or substance such as an exfoliant, to be applied to the lips. One end of the body has an external, oblique, lip-engageable abrasive applicator surface containing a product-dispensing orifice through which the substance can be ejected. Such ejection is accomplished by means of a finger-engageable wheel that is turned to forcibly discharge the substance through the orifices and onto the applicator surface. Thereafter this surface which now contains the discharged substance, is rubbed against the lips and thus effects a scrubbing thereof, which brings about gentle and controlled exfoliation of accumulated dead skin cells. Following this, excess dead cell material can be wiped off with a tissue or pad.

Abstract:
A cosmetic compact providing a molded plastic base, a first cover and combined second cover and grip handle, all disposed over the base. The first cover is hinged to the base. The combined second cover and grip handle are selectively removable from the base, and carry an applicator device which when stored, is disposed between the first cover and base. The arrangement enables the user to quickly open the first cover and immediately remove and manipulate the combined second cover and grip handle, and attached applicator device, for application of cosmetic to the face or body. An especially neat, compact construction thereby is realized.
