Abstract:

A loading device is provided, including a first member, a second member, a first clamping member, a second clamping member, and an actuator. The first member includes a first surface, where the first surface contacts a first side of a test piece. The second member includes a second surface, for contacting a second side of the test piece. The first clamping member includes a first clamping surface for contacting the second side of the test piece. The second clamping member is fixedly secured to the second member. Abstract:

In a processor having hardware event signals, signals are dynamically allocated in a mask to indicate whether each of the respective signals is available. Program code can use the same signal for multiple non-concurrent operations. A tag for an operation, such as an I/O operation can provide signal virtualization. In one embodiment, the tag includes a signal pending mask and a received signal mask. A comparison the mask can identify when an operation is complete.

An optical motion sensing system () for use in imaging an anatomical structure employs an optical motion sensor () including a body contour conforming matrix (“BCCM”) () and an optical fiber (). Upon BCCM () being adjoined to the anatomical structure, BCCM () structurally conforms at least partially to a surface contour of the anatomical structure for reciprocating any motion by the anatomical structure. Abstract:

A device and corresponding methods for applying a coating material are disclosed. The method may include applying a first coating material on a threaded region of an opening in a multi-piece assembly, and inserting at least one fastener to the threaded region. The fastener may include a mating thread selectively secured to the threaded region of the opening to create a first friction interface between the fastener and the multi-piece assembly. The method may further include tensioning the fastener between a load surface of the multi-piece assembly and the mating thread. In one example, the load surface may define in part a second friction interface between the fastener and the multi-piece assembly that is spaced away from the threaded region such that the first coating material does not influence the second friction interface. In another example, the first coating material may be applied in a substantially uniform thickness.

Abstract:

Time recovery techniques are described. A method comprises receiving messages from the first device by the second device in the first network domain, the messages to comprise time information to synchronize a first clock for the first device and a second clock for the second device to a network time, determining the second clock is to recover the network time for the second device without new messages from the first device, retrieving a first set of timestamps previously stored for events in the first network domain using the network time from the second clock, retrieving a second set of timestamps previously stored for the events in the first network domain using a redundant time from a third clock, where the third clock is not synchronized with the first and second clocks, and recovering the network time using a regression model and the redundant time from the third clock.
