Abstract:

A low profile fan body for cooling an electronic component has a fan frame supporting a fan, which is mounted on a fan base forming a heat sink or heat transfer body. The fan has plurality of fan blades received within a plenum chamber defined within the heat sink. Each fan blade defines a first axial edge, a second axial edge on a substantially opposite side of the blade relative to the first axial edge, and a radial edge extending between the first and second axial edges. The heat sink defines a base portion for engaging an exposed surface of the electronic component, and a plurality of heat fins spaced relative to each other along the periphery of the sink and defining the plenum chamber. A pressure differential surface is disposed between the radial edges of the fan blades and the fins for directing air flow in the axial direction of the fan. The radial edges of a plurality of the fan blades are at least partially exposed to the adjacent heat fins defining a flow path for cooling air across the radial edges exposed to the heat fins.

Abstract:

The present invention provides connections and methods of restricting an opening. One connection according to the subject invention is configured to restrict a mouth of a container, the mouth having an inner surface having an inside diameter and an outer surface having an outside diameter, the connection includes: a plug having a side surface of varying dimension and configured to engage the inner surface to form a seal of the side surface of the plug and the inner surface; at least one intermediate member having a first end borne by the plug and a second end distally spaced from the first end; and a securing member configured to engage the outer surface of the container and the second end of the intermediate member, the intermediate member being configured to couple the plug and the securing member and maintain the seal of the side surface of the plug with the inner surface of the container.

Abstract:

An electronic component cooling low profile fan body with favorable heat transfer characteristics is disclosed. A fan, positioned in the body, includes a number of blades circumferentially formed around a central axis. The blades establish an axial blade depth region in reference to the central axis. The low profile fan body includes a frame supporting the fan. In one embodiment of the invention, the heat transfer body includes a pressure differential surface formed around the outer perimeter of the fan blades within a first segment of the axial blade depth region. An interface surface for connection to the electronic component is positioned opposite of the fan frame. A number of heat transfer devices are disposed between the frame and the interface surface, such that the heat transfer devices are positioned within a second segment of the axial blade depth region. In an alternate embodiment of the invention, heat transfer devices are disposed between the frame and the interface surface, without a pressure differential surface, along the entire axial blade depth region. The configuration of the heat transfer devices allows them to function as both a heat transfer surface and a pressure differential surface.

Abstract:

In one embodiment of the present invention, a shading engine enables multiple versions of dependencies to coexist in an executable software application. During the software build process, the shading engine dynamically renames transitive dependencies of the software application to disambiguated names. The shading engine performs this renaming at both the library and class level. Notably, the shading engine does not rename the first-order dependencies of the software application. Consequently, the code of the software application and interfaces between the software application and the first-order library dependencies of the software application are not modified. Notably, the shading engine efficiently and accurately shades the transitive dependencies without manual intervention. By contrast, primarily manually-based conventional approaches to dependency management are time consuming and susceptible to errors.

Abstract:

A system and method for performing network-based electronic invoicing with reverse invoicing. An invoice creation screen is presented to a client user, through a client device connected via a network to an electronic invoicing system. The method includes accepting invoice data input by the client user via the invoice creation screen. The method further includes generating a first invoice document based on the invoice data input by the client user, the first invoice document including an invoice identifier and the amount payable. The first invoice document is presented to the client user on an invoice review screen which includes an actuator to post the first invoice document to an account of the vendor user. The first invoice document is presented to the vendor user on an invoice approval screen which includes actuators to approve the first invoice document or to contest the first invoice document.
