A template for positioning an array of overlapping shingles on a roof comprises a body member having a side edge contoured to fit the side edge pattern of the array of shingles to be established on the roof, whereby the shingle positioning is accomplished by setting on the roof a first shingle of the array, positioning the template on the roof so that a portion of its contoured side edge abuts the corresponding side edge portion of the first shingle of the array and thereafter guiding the placement on the roof of each of the remaining shingles of the array by abutting a side edge portion of each against the corresponding side edge portion of the template's contoured side edge.
This invention is an anti chafing device, called the Line Sleeve for use around boat lines. The invention is made of wool attached to a sheepskin backing. The invention uses hook and loop fasteners to secure the invention to the boat line. When attached to the line the invention acts as buffer between the line and the surface area of the boat. The line can no longer come in direct contact with the boat. Thus stopping any abrasions and chafeing that can damage the surface area of the boat.
