Abstract:
An enclosure system for receiving a number of plug in computer peripheral devices, such as hard disk drives in a disk array, utilizes front and rear cages or enclosures that are separated by a vertical backplane having internal circuit interconnections and multi-pin docking connectors on each face. A front bezel provides access to the backplane through the front cage enclosure, so that trays containing the drives can be inserted and plugged into the connectors. The vertical spacing is arranged to be modifiable, so that different numbers of higher profile and lower profile devices can be used. Power supplies, battery back up units and a cooling fan device, all arranged in sub-modules insertable through the rear open face of the power supply enclosure, interconnect with connectors on the back face of the backplane, and cooling air is circulated throughout from front to rear, via apertures in the backplane.

Abstract:
A delicate tissue retraction system for use with a navigation probe having a probe shaft and a probe tip at a distal end of the probe shaft. The delicate tissue retraction system includes a retractor and an introducer that is removably installed within the retractor. The introducer has a wall forming a hollow channel extending from a proximal introducer end to a distal introducer end. A mount is integrally formed with the introducer and extends from the distal introducer end into the channel. The mount is positioned to surround the probe tip when the navigation probe is at a fully inserted position within the introducer with the probe tip at the distal introducer end.

A delicate tissue retraction system having a retractor, an introducer and a clamp mechanism. The retractor has a hollow retractor passage and the introducer has an introducer channel extending from a proximal introducer end to a distal introducer end. The introducer is configured to be removably installed within the retractor. The clamp mechanism is on the introducer and includes a probe shaft receptacle suspended inwardly from the introducer wall to form one or more open spaces between the introducer wall and the probe shaft receptacle. The probe shaft receptacle has a clamp passage that is axially aligned with the introducer channel and dimensioned to receive the shaft of a navigation probe therethrough. The probe shaft receptacle has a clamp configured to selectively reduce a size of at least a first portion of the clamp passage to selectively hold the probe shaft at a fixed position relative to the introducer.

Abstract:
A delicate tissue retraction system having a retractor, an introducer and a clamp mechanism. The retractor has a hollow retractor passage extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal retractor end to a distal retractor end. The introducer has an introducer channel extending from a proximal introducer end to a distal introducer end. The introducer is configured to be removably installed within the retractor such that the proximal introducer end and distal introducer end are located along the longitudinal axis and the distal introducer end extends beyond the distal retractor end. The clamp mechanism is located on the introducer and includes a clamp axially aligned with the introducer channel, and control member configured to move the clamp between an open position and a closed position. The clamp may be used to hold a navigation probe inside the introducer, and a registration indicator may confirm the proper installation of the probe.
