Abstract:

A method and apparatus for display of graphical data is described. The invention provides an architecture for graphics processing. The architecture includes pipelined processing and support for multi-regional graphics. In one embodiment, a graphics driver according to the invention can receive multiple independent streams of graphical data that can be in different graphical formats. The independent streams are synchronized and converted to a common format prior to being processed. In one embodiment, multi-regional graphics are supported with off-screen and on-screen memory regions for processing. The regions of the multi-regional graphic are rendered in an off-screen memory. The data in the off-screen memory are converted to a common format and copied to on-screen memory. The data in the on-screen memory is used to generate an output image. Alpha blending can also be programmed to provide multi-regional graphics or other graphical features.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus for receiving clocked data signals such as SPI-4. 2 data signals is described. In one embodiment, each data signal lane is deskewed with respect to the clock by oversampling the signal on that lane, and considering multiple versions of a data sequence at different temporal offsets to the clock for correct reception of a training sequence. One of the temporal offsets is subsequently selected to provide the received bit sequence for that lane. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A method of managing risk associated with processing merchant credit card transactions includes establishing a plurality of merchant processing relationships with a plurality of merchants, compiling transaction history for each of the plurality of merchants, identifying a business relationship between at least two of the plurality of merchants, based on the business relationship, associating the at least two merchants into a single processing relationship, and periodically calculating a measure of processing risk for the single processing relationship by, at least in part, combining the transaction history compiled for each of the at least two merchants. Abstract:

Messages exchanged among users of a relationship management and work collaboration system are organized within user-defined, secure communication channels organized according to user-defined hierarchies that represent the users' personal relationships with one another. Security of the communications channels is maintained using individual, dynamic keys, each of the keys being uniquely associated with a respective one of the channels, and being generated according to combinations of individual passwords established by each respective channel's participants. In-bound messages in the form of e-mails are received and associated with respective ones of the channels according to e-mail aliases associated with the inbound messages. Abstract:

A drilling guide for providing stability, direction, force and depth control for precise drilling comprises a hollow shaft attached to drill shaft casing, a telescopic housing connected to hollow shaft with a close coil spring, a depth measuring scale and a set of locknuts as depth controlling device. The threaded portion of hollow shaft provides means for depth measuring and controlling surface and nonthreaded portion and outward flange provides means for direction guidance for the housing. The housing which could protect adjacent objects from drilling relatively moves upwardly during downward movement of hollow shaft and stops at where locknuts are located. The housing comprises a serrated edge for aiding stability and vented holes for exiting drilling byproduct. The close coil spring can provide consistent resistance to prevent unexpected plunging of drill bit and can bring the drill bit back to the original position following the same path of drilling.
