Abstract:

A method employs a database table that contains progressive prize pool status data for each progressive game that may be available in a given gaming system. Additional database tables store definitions for both contributions to the various progressive prize pools and awards to be made from the various progressive prize pools. A given game play request in the gaming system is identified with a particular contribution definition from the applicable database table in order to properly update the applicable progressive prize pool in view of the game play request and the wager associated with that game play request. Also, a given result in a game offered through the gaming system is identified with a particular award definition in order to identify when a progressive prize is to be awarded and to properly award the applicable progressive prize and update the progressive prize pool.

A MOSFET includes a substrate having a body region of a first conductivity type. A main field effect transistor (mainFET) and a mirror device are formed in the substrate. The mainFET includes first gate trenches, first source regions of a second conductivity type adjacent to the first gate trenches, and first body implant regions of the first conductivity type extending into the body region adjacent to and interposed between the first source regions. The mirror device includes second gate trenches, second source regions of the second conductivity type adjacent to the second gate trenches, second body implant regions of the first conductivity type extending into the body region adjacent to and interposed between the second source regions, and link elements of the first conductivity type interconnecting pairs of the second body implant regions.

Abstract:

A vehicle having a traction battery with at least one cell includes a controller coupled to the traction battery and programmed to control charging and discharging of the traction battery in response to detecting lithium plating in the at least one cell indicated by a ratio of differential voltage of the at least one cell as a function of time to cell charging rate of the at least one cell. The ratio may be compared to a threshold associated with current battery state of charge to indicate lithium plating when the ratio is below the threshold. Lithium plating may also be detected based on a measured cell open circuit voltage (OCV) relative to a previously stored OCV value. The measured OCV value may be calculated based on a measured cell voltage and current, and a previously stored cell internal resistance.
