Abstract:

A method, system, and computer program product for detecting at least one nodule in a medical image of a subject, including identifying, in the medical image, an anatomical region corresponding to at least a portion of an organ of interest; filtering the medical image to obtain a difference image; detecting, in the difference image, a first plurality of nodule candidates within the anatomical region; calculating respective nodule feature values of the first plurality of nodule candidates based on pixel values of at least one of the medical image and the difference image; removing false positive nodule candidates from the first plurality of nodule candidates based on the respective nodule feature values to obtain a second plurality of nodule candidates; and determining the at least one nodule by classifying each of the second plurality of nodule candidates as a nodule or a non-nodule based on at least one of the pixel values and the respective nodule feature values. True-positive nodules are identified using linear discriminant analysis and/or a Multi-MTANN.

Abstract:

A method employs a database table that contains progressive prize pool status data for each progressive game that may be available in a given gaming system. Additional database tables store definitions for both contributions to the various progressive prize pools and awards to be made from the various progressive prize pools. A given game play request in the gaming system is identified with a particular contribution definition from the applicable database table in order to properly update the applicable progressive prize pool in view of the game play request and the wager associated with that game play request. Also, a given result in a game offered through the gaming system is identified with a particular award definition in order to identify when a progressive prize is to be awarded and to properly award the applicable progressive prize and update the progressive prize pool.

Abstract:

A Shock absorbing support system isolates vibrations that would otherwise pass through the important instrument mounted on the vibration source. The isolation includes springs and dampers under the bottom of the instrument while dampers around tops of the instrument. The combination of the springs and the dampers results in a dissipation of kinetic energy caused by vibrations that would otherwise pass through the instrument and cause significant dynamic load and damages to the support and the instrument.
