Abstract:

A seat light and plaque holder including a seat light base having a downwardly angled mounting surface and an upwardly angled mounting surface with a first plurality of LEDs mounted on the downwardly angled mounting surface and a second plurality of LEDs is mounted on the upwardly angled mounting surface. A light cover is attached to the seat light base having a row marker positioned thereon to be backlit by the second plurality of LEDs and an end portion of a length selected to shield the downwardly angled first plurality of LEDs from view of persons walking up or down an aisleway while directing illumination towards an aisleway.

Abstract:

An electrical connector which facilitates electrical interconnection of adjacent lighting fixtures and includes a female connector half and male connector half, each having first and second horizontally disposed passageways formed therein. The male connector half further has a male ground pin positioned to mate with a female ground slot formed in the female connector half. A female insert is positioned in each of the passageways of the female connector half and has an interior shaped and dimensioned to receive and retain a male electrical connector pin while a male insert is positioned in each passageway of the male connector half and has an interior shaped and dimensioned to receive and retain a female electrical connector pin. The connector and ground pins are so positioned that a ground connection is established prior to the establishment of electrical continuity between the connector pins when the male connector half is “plugged into” the female connector half.

Abstract:

A wall light system including a single piece wall mount extrusion having a vertical rear mounting surface and a horizontally extending light shield. The interior of the vertical rear mounting surface has first and second projections extending therefrom defining a first slot, while the interior of the light shield has a downwardly extending vertical projection and a horizontal projection formed thereon, which together define a second slot. A lampholder has lower and upper tongues positioned to snap fit into the first and second slots, respectively, and mounts a circuit board which carries one or more LEDs.

Abstract:

An LED light fixture comprising a contoured light transmissive lens cover pivotally mounted between upper and lower end brackets so as to be movable between an open position and a closed position wherein in the closed position the upper and lower contoured edges of the lens cover mate flushly with the contoured surface of respective upper and lower end caps. A bank of LED carrying housing components are attached between the upper and lower mounting brackets so as to direct illumination toward the lens cover. Expansion brackets may be employed to facilitate addition of one or more additional banks of LED carrying housing components behind a lens cover of longer length to thereby created a sconce fixture of extended length.

Abstract:

An illustrative modular light fixture apparatus may comprise a plurality of modules, each having a base component and a cover component. The base component has a split vertical male plug positioned within a cylindrical recess, and a cylindrical female receptacle formed at an opposite end thereof. The cylindrical female receptacle and split male plug are so configured such that the female receptacle of one module will snap fittingly or otherwise interconnect with the split male plug of another module. The cover component has respective pairs of rectangular openings on first and second sides thereof configured to snap fittingly engage respective tabs on the sides of the base component as the cover component is pushed downwardly over the base component to thereby attach the cover component to the base component.

Abstract:

Modular LED light fixture units are interconnected together in articulated fashion with each modular unit including a base component and a cover component. First and second of the base components each include a cylindrical recess formed at a first end with a vertical boss positioned therein, the vertical boss having a threaded opening therein and an extension member formed at a second, opposite end and positioned within first and second outer fingers. The hole in the extension member of the first base component and the boss of the second base component are so positioned, shaped, and dimensioned that a fastener is insertable through the hole in the extension member of the first base component and into the boss of the second base component to thereby pivotally interconnect the first and second base components.
