Abstract:

A method is disclosed for generating pricing data for managed computer printer services for a user of a fleet of computer printer devices over a contract time period including first selecting between two possible pricing models, pay-per-page with minimums or pay-per-page with a fixed periodic payment. Variable costs comprising the costs of toner cartridges and preventative maintenance are computed for both monochromatic and color printers and these respective variables contribute to determine the total costing of both models. In the fixed periodic model the cost of hardware and a service fee also contribute to the final pricing figure. The toner portion of the variable costs element may be determined on the basis of predictions of page coverage for both mono and color printers, but may also be determined from historical averages resulting from actual measurement of the page coverage of printers in the fleet.

Abstract:

Output device utilization on a network is optimized. Utilization information for each output device is tracked. The utilization information is tracked by periodically retrieving the utilization information and archiving the retrieved utilization information. The utilization information is selectively tracked from network print clients, network print servers and network output devices. The utilization information is analyzed for optimization opportunities. The utilization information is analyzed by selectively searching for underused and overused output devices. The utilization information is analyzed for optimization opportunities by applying rules to the utilization information. The rules are applied to the utilization information by selectively optimizing for lowest cost, highest quality, soonest output and output closest to an originated print client. The network is configured to exploit the optimization opportunities. The network is configured by selectively configuring network print clients, network print servers and network output devices.

Abstract:

The present invention provides for the treatment or prevention of Hepadnaviridae infection and disease caused by Hepadnaviridae infection. In particular, the invention provides compositions and methods that affect the ability of Hepadnaviridae to utilize the host's cellular machinery as part of the virus' lifecycle. The invention relates to the discovery that interfering with the normal ability of viruses to utilize the host cell machinery with LSD1 inhibitors reduces HBV replication. Thus, the treatment and prevention of Hepadnaviridae infection and disease caused by Hepadnaviridae according to the invention comprises administering to an individual in need of treatment, a therapeutically effective amount of a LSD1 inhibitor. Abstract:

A host computer includes a processor, a first memory for storing a bit map representation of an image to be printed, and a second memory for storing a control language representation of an image to be printed. The host computer further includes a printer driver for enabling dispatch of the bit map representation to a connected printer. The printer includes a print engine, a printer processor and control memory for storing bit map control code which controls the printer processor to render the print engine able to print an image defined by a bit map representation. The control memory further includes control language code for controlling the printer's processor to render the print engine able to print an image defined by a control language representation. Within the host computer is an interface module, controlled by the host printer driver, for interrogating status information from the printer. When the printer is under control of the control language code and a bit map representation is to be transmitted to the printer by the host computer, the interface module terminates a bilateral communication protocol and transmits a command to the printer, enabling operation of the bit map control code contained within the printer's control memory.
