Abstract:
The invention provides a gene transfer vector for inducing an immune response against in a mammal. The gene transfer vector comprises a nucleic acid sequence encoding an immunogenic portion of one or more proteins of and/or a nucleic acid sequence encoding a monoclonal antibody directed against. The invention further provides a method of producing an immune response against in a mammal comprising administration of the gene transfer vector to the mammal. The invention also provides a monoclonal antibody directed against the Virulence (V) antigen of , as well as a hybridoma cell line producing same and a nucleic acid sequence encoding same.
Vaccines For Prevention And Treatment Of Addiction
The invention provides an adenovirus-antigen conjugate comprising an adenovirus with a coat protein and an antigen of an addictive drug conjugated to the coat protein of the adenovirus. The invention also provides an adenoviral vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence which encodes an antibody directed against the addictive drug. The invention further provides a method of inducing an immune response against an addictive drug or reducing the effect of an addictive drug in a human by ad-ministering to the human the aforementioned adenovirus-antigen conjugate or antibody encoding adenoviral vector.

Abstract:
The invention provides a method of inhibiting ocular neovascularization in a mammal by administering a composition comprising a bevacizumab-encoding adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector directly to the eye of the mammal.
Use Of Gene Product Of Adenovirus Early Region 4 Orf-6 To Inhibit Repair Of Double-Strand Breaks In Dna
The present invention provides a modified adenovirus comprising genomic adenoviral DNA which has been modified so that (i) the only gene product of the early region (E4) that is expressed is open reading frame 6 (ORF-6), (ii) neither the gene product of the E1A region nor the gene product of the E1B region is expressed, and (iii) no other early or late gene products are expressed. The present invention also provides methods of inhibiting repair of breaks in double-stranded DNA in a cell, preventing concatamerization of linear wild-type adenoviral DNA, inhibiting V(D)J recombination of nucleic acid sequences encoding immunoglobulins, preventing apoptosis, and preventing and treating cancer.
A process and composition for the hydrosilylation of an unsaturated compound comprising reacting (a) a silyl hydride with (b) an unsaturated compound in the presence of (c) a platinum compound and (d) a cyclodiene, with the proviso that when the unsaturated compound is a terminal alkyne, the silyl hydride is other than a halosilane. The process and composition optionally comprise an inhibitor (e). The process and composition may be employed to form a variety of hydrosilylation products.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein is the use of manganese, iron, cobalt, or nickel complexes containing tridentate pyridine di-imine ligands as hydrosilylation catalysts. These complexes are effective for efficiently catalyzing hydrosilylation reactions, as well as offering improved selectivity and yield over existing catalyst systems.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to processes for the synthesis of saturated and unsaturated silahydrocarbons using iron-containing or cobalt-containing catalysts. The processes of the invention can produce tetraalkylsilanes, phenyltrialkylsilanes, substituted phenyltrialkylsilanes and their mixtures, which are useful as lubricants and hydraulic fluids, as well as alkyl alkenylsilanes, phenyl alkenylsilanes and substituted phenyl alkenylsilanes and their mixtures, which are useful in the synthesis of saturated silahydrocarbons and other organofunctional silanes.
