Abstract:

An invention is provided for a spa chair pedicure basin sanitation liner that allows a user to enjoy the water agitation benefits of a water based pedicure foot massage while preventing infection from reused basin water. The liner includes a bottom portion and a plurality of sidewalls attached to the bottom portion. The bottom portion and the plurality of sidewalls define an inner volume, which is capable of containing a liquid, such as water, filled up to a particular liquid level. Disposed within the inner volume, is gas piping that defines a gas-carrying conduit. The gas piping includes a plurality of openings through which gas can pass into the inner volume.

Abstract:

An invention is provided for a spa chair base suitable for use with any suitable seat. The spa chair base includes a pedicure basin defined by a plurality of sidewalls attached to a bottom portion, where the bottom portion and the plurality of sidewalls define an inner volume capable of containing a liquid to a particular liquid level. Disposed in the bottom portion of the pedicure basin is a physical massage element capable of providing a physical massage to a user. In addition, a waterproof physical massage element liner is attached to the pedicure basin and disposed between the physical massage element and the inner volume of the pedicure basin. The physical massage elements can utilize vibration, inflatable bladders, rollers, or any other type of massage element that provides a physical massage utilizing more than water pressure.

Abstract:

A liner for containing a soaking solution in use with a foot spa features two bodies of plastic which are joined at an interface therebetween so as to form two, individual layers. An air conduit is formed between the two layers so as to provide a passageway for pressurized air, which is supplied by an air discharge apparatus, across walls of the liner and into the soaking solution. The inner layer has openings such that the air guided through the air conduit can be released into an inside volume of the liner where the soaking solution is containable. Furthermore, the outer layer is imperforate from a location thereon at which a starting end of the air conduit is disposed to a free end of the layers so as to isolate the inside volume of the liner from the soaking basin.

Abstract:

A spa chair with a novel pedicure basin is disclosed. The pedicure basin has a main basin and a secondary basin. The main basin is where the feet of the person sitting in the spa chair goes. This main basin is generally filled with water. In one embodiment, the main basin has water overflow protection through a lowered rim, directing the overflow of water to a secondary basin. This method of overflow protection is especially useful where the main basin has a liner blocking the drain hole within the main basin.
