Abstract:

A drug delivery device includes a cartridge () for storing a medicament and a needle () communicating with the cartridge () for injecting a medicament dose. A rack () is movably disposed in the cartridge () and is engageable with a stopper () for expelling the medicament dose from the cartridge (). A lever assembly () has a lever arm () connected to a lever gear (). The lever gear () is engaged with the rack () such that rotation of the lever arm () rotates the lever gear () during injection of the medicament dose, thereby moving the rack () and stopper () through the cartridge () to deliver the medicament dose.

A compression sleeve configured for a conforming fit to a portion of a wearer's body, such as a leg. The compression sleeve includes at least one inflatable bladder. A robotic end effector for collecting frozen aliquots from an array of frozen samples in a plurality of containers has a coring bit for taking frozen sample cores from the frozen samples and a frozen sample core extraction system adapted to extract frozen sample cores from the frozen samples. A fill level detection system is adapted to detect the positions of the surfaces of the frozen samples. A processor is adapted to receive signals from the fill level detection system and use the signals and information concerning operation of the frozen sample core extraction system to determine at least one of the following: (a) the amount of material contained in a frozen sample core obtained by the coring bit; and (b) the number of frozen sample cores needed from a particular frozen sample to obtain a predetermined amount of material from that frozen sample.

Abstract:

A compression garment adapted for placement in a self-retaining configuration on a body part for imparting compression therapy on the body part. The compression garment includes a flexible wrap and a bladder held in use by the wrap for compressing the body part. The wrap includes and inner flap and an outer flap. The outer flap overlaps the inner flap when the garment is in a self-retaining configuration on the body part. A fastener secures the wrap in the self-retaining configuration. When the outer flap overlaps the inner flap, at least a portion of the inner flap is exposed forming a grip for grasping the inner flap when tightening and fastening the garment in the self-retaining configuration.
