Methods and apparatus for monitoring grid-based computing resources are disclosed. Example embodiments provide for the determination and display of a variety of metrics. Data related to processor utilization by a plurality of applications is accumulated, aggregated, and normalized. At least one metric related to the use of the grid by the plurality of applications is assayed or otherwise determined from the aggregated, normalized data. An archive database for archival storage of at least some of the data can also be provided. In some embodiments, a Web server displays metrics via a Web page. In addition, provision can be made to verify the service level agreement (SLA) compliance of the various resources on the grid.
Tool For Rapid Loading Of Line Onto A Fishing Reel
The tool is coupleable to an arm of a reel of a fishing rod. The tool includes a shank at one end removably coupleable to a rotating drive. A cylinder is oriented opposite the shank with a hollow bore extending into a free end of the cylinder. A slot extends through a wall of the cylinder with an axial leg adjacent an entry of the slot and a circumferential leg spaced from the axial leg by a bend. The arm passes into the bore with portions of the arm first passing through the axial leg and then into the circumferential leg. The arm is thus securely held within the slot of the cylinder and the arm rotates when the cylinder is caused to rotate along with the shank when the shank is coupled to the drive and the drive is rotated, and line is drawn onto the reel.
Recommending Automated Assistant Action For Inclusion In Automated Assistant Routine
- Mountain View CA, US Michael Andrew Goodman - Oakland CA, US
International Classification:
G10L 15/22 G10L 15/07 G10L 15/26
Abstract:
Recommending an automated assistant action for inclusion in an existing automated assistant routine of a user, where the existing automated assistant routine includes a plurality of preexisting automated assistant actions. If the user confirms the recommendation through affirmative user interface input, the automated assistant action can be automatically added to the existing automated assistant routine. Thereafter, when the automated assistant routine is initialized, the preexisting automated assistant actions of the routine will be performed, as well as the automated assistant action that was automatically added to the routine in response to affirmative user interface input received in response to the recommendation.
Methods And Systems For Reducing Latency In Automated Assistant Interactions
- Mountain View CA, US Rafael Goldfarb - Hadera, IL Dekel Auster - Tel Aviv, IL Dan Rasin - Givatayim, IL Michael Andrew Goodman - Oakland CA, US Trevor Strohman - Sunnyvale CA, US Nino Tasca - San Francisco CA, US Valerie Nygaard - Saratoga CA, US Jaclyn Konzelmann - Mountain View CA, US
Implementations described herein relate to reducing latency in automated assistant interactions. In some implementations, a client device can receive audio data that captures a spoken utterance of a user. The audio data can be processed to determine an assistant command to be performed by an automated assistant. The assistant command can be processed, using a latency prediction model, to generate a predicted latency to fulfill the assistant command. Further, the client device (or the automated assistant) can determine, based on the predicted latency, whether to audibly render pre-cached content for presentation to the user prior to audibly rendering content that is responsive to the spoken utterance. The pre-cached content can be tailored to the assistant command and audibly rendered for presentation to the user while the content is being obtained, and the content can be audibly rendered for presentation to the user subsequent to the pre-cached content.
Automatic Navigation Of An Interactive Voice Response (Ivr) Tree On Behalf Of Human User(S)
- Mountain View CA, US Michael Andrew Goodman - Oakland CA, US Yoav Tzur - Tel Aviv, IL
International Classification:
H04M 3/493 G06F 16/901 H04M 3/51
Abstract:
Implementations are directed to utilizing an assistant to automatically navigate an interactive voice response (IVR) tree to arrive at a target state during an assisted telephone call. The assistant can receive input to initiate the assisted telephone call, identify an entity to engage with, on behalf of the user, and during the assisted telephone call, based on the input, and identify an IVR tree stored in association with the entity. In various implementations, navigation of the IVR tree can be modified based on interaction(s) detected at a client device subsequent to initiating the assisted telephone call. In various implementations, the assisted telephone call can be initiated from a search interface, and the target state can be associated with a given search result. In various implementations, the IVR tree can be dynamic in that only a subset of candidate state(s) of the IVR tree may be available as the target state.
Pre-Emptively Initializing An Automated Assistant Routine And/Or Dismissing A Scheduled Alarm
Implementations set forth herein relate to initializing performance of an automated assistant routine and/or dismissing an alarm pre-emptively according to satisfaction of one or more conditions. A condition can be satisfied by a user acknowledging the alarm when the alarm is going off, or causing the alarm to be dismissed prior to a time at which the alarm was scheduled for. The user can cause the alarm to be dismissed pre-emptively by interacting with the automated assistant prior to the time the alarm was scheduled for and/or interacting with a device, which is known to the automated assistant, prior to the time that the alarm was scheduled for. In this way, actions that cause an alarm to be dismissed can be recognized and used to initialize other processes, such as an automated assistant routine, thereby reducing a number of inputs needed from a user.

Multi-family housing starts not keeping pace with Gov. Deval Patrick's goal
Aside from hot markets in the Boston area, the states overall housing recovery has appeared to slow down since last year, according to Michael Goodman, associate professor of public policy at UMass Dartmouth. Single-family housing construction has also decelerated.
llars in Washington are the fuel of the innovation economy here, the research grants, defense, and other contracts are a big part of what drives the state economy along with the export markets around the world, said University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth public policy professor Michael Goodman. W
The housing market combined with improving job market is a recipe for rising consumer confidence, said Michael Goodman, an economist at UMass-Dartmouth. But, he added, that doesnt necessarily translate to higher consumer spending.
