Abstract:

A computer implemented method for providing cardiovascular images over a respiratory cycle through a computer system is provided. A plurality of cardiovascular images is obtained. A cardiac phase is measured for each cardiovascular image of the plurality of cardiovascular images to associate each cardiovascular image to a cardiac phase. A respiratory phase is measured for each cardiovascular image of the plurality of cardiovascular images to associate each cardiovascular image to a respiratory phase. A first group of cardiovascular images with an associated first cardiac phase of the plurality of cardiovascular images is sorted in order of respiratory phases. The first group of cardiovascular images with the associated first cardiac phase of the plurality of cardiovascular images is displayed in order of respiratory phases.

Abstract:

A method of treating increased non-LTR retrotransposition in a cell. The method includes exposing a neural cell to a retrotransposition inhibitor in an amount sufficient to decrease the non-LTR retrotransposition in the neural cell or a progeny of the neural cell. In various embodiments, the non-LTR retrotransposition involves at least one L1 retrotransposon. Also provided is a method of assaying retrotransposition in neural cells. The method includes sorting synchronized neural cells of the same genetic background into single neural cells, and subjecting one or more of the sorted single neural cells to quantitative polymerase chain reaction amplification of at least one retrotransposon. In addition, a method of identifying an inhibitor of retrotransposition and a identifying a neural condition associated with non-LTR retrotransposition are provided.

Abstract:

In some embodiments, features are extracted from a waveform generated by a photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensor of a wearable device. These features are used to train and use classifier models to detect likely instances of cardiovascular conditions that affect blood flow during a cardiac cycle, including but not limited to atrial fibrillation. In some embodiments, the features are extracted based on the shape of the waveform, including one or more of an amplitude, an upslope rate, a downslope rate, and differentials thereof over time. In some embodiments, data from an inertial measurement unit (IMU) is used to filter and/or compensate for motion artifacts in the PPG data. The use of data generated by PPG sensors allows long-term, non-invasive monitoring for cardiovascular conditions without requiring further actions to be taken by the user to obtain data using other means.

Abstract:

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to pressure sensing. As may be implemented in accordance with one or more embodiments, an external energy field is applied to a resonant circuit having inductive conductors separated by a compressible dielectric, for wirelessly detecting pressure. Specifically, the resonant circuit is responsive to the energy field and applied pressures by operating in respective states exhibiting different resonant frequencies that are based upon pressure-related compression of the compressible dielectric. These resonant frequencies, or a change in the resonant frequencies, can be used as an indication of the pressure.
