TCU suspends Trevone Boykin after arrest for hitting officer in bar fight

TCU released a statement from coach Gary Patterson saying Boykin and reserve receiver Preston Miller were suspended for a violation of team rules. Patterson did not respond to a request for comment about whether Boykin had violated a curfew.Pattersons prepared statement said: Trevone Boykin and Preston Miller have been suspended for Saturdays game due to a violation of team rules. We are disappointed in their actions and apologize to the TCU Horned Frogs Nation, Valero Alamo Bowl and city of San Antonio.

In the run up to Oregon's only loss of the season, Mariota learned that Miller was hooked up to IVs, battling for his life in Randall Children's Hospital. He has a condition called Burkitt Lymphoma, and when Mariota learned of tremendous instincts. And how easy the UO quarterback made it look. But also, it's Mariota I'll think of when I see Preston Miller leave that hospital room, and when I see a player stop to sign autographs for children after a tough loss, and maybe when I see someone express kindness to a homeless person.
