PE Corporation (NY) - Norwalk CT
International Classification:
C12N 916
US Classification:
435196, 435 6, 4353201, 536 232
Abstract:
The present invention provides amino acid sequences of peptides that are encoded by genes within the human genome, the phosphodiesterase peptides of the present invention. The present invention specifically provides isolated peptide and nucleic acid molecules, methods of identifying orthologs and paralogs of the phosphodiesterase peptides, and methods of identifying modulators of the phosphodiesterase peptides.

International Classification:
C07K 1400
US Classification:
530326, 530350, 514 13
Abstract:
This invention relates to methods of screening for compounds capable of inducing apoptosis in certain tumor cells. The invention also relates to compounds identified by such methods. In addition, the invention relates to methods for the in vitro diagnosis of Xeroderma pigmentosum and compounds useful in these methods.
Methods For Identifying Inhibitors Of Gadd45 Polypeptide Activity, And Inhibitors Of Such Activity
The present invention is directed to novel methods for assaying for modulators of GADD45 polypeptide activity. The invention also provides means to sensitize a proliferating cell to a DNA base-damaging agent by administration of novel inhibitors of GADD45 polypeptide activity. The invention further provides polypeptides which interfere with the ability of Cdc2/cyclin B1 complexes to cause a pause at the G2/M stage of the cell cycle in response to GADD45, and nucleic acids which encode such polypeptides.
Screening Assays For Compounds That Cause Apoptosis And Related Compounds
This invention relates to methods of screening for compounds capable of inducing apoptosis in certain tumor cells. The invention also relates to compounds identified by such methods. In addition, the invention relates to methods for the in vitro diagnosis of and compounds useful in these methods.
Method And Apparatus For Dynamically Assigning Usage Rights To Digital Works

International Classification:
G06F 1760
US Classification:
705 51, 705 1, 705 54
Abstract:
Usage rights to digital content are dynamically assigned. Various dynamic conditions are monitored and the usage rights are adjusted in a predetermined manner based on the status of dynamic conditions. The dynamic conditions include the time of day, the load on a server or network, or the like. The resolution of an image can be determined based on the conditions and the image can be rendered using subband decomposition techniques to permit variable resolution images to be constructed on the fly.

International Classification:
G06F017/60
US Classification:
705 51, 705 26, 713182
Abstract:
Usage rights for a digital work are established prior to creation of the corresponding content. The rights can be associated with the content after the content is created. A content creation, such as a video recorder or a still camera, device can store labels of the rights and can associate usage rights with content in real time as the content is created.

US Classification:
713168, 713182, 713193, 713200, 713201
Abstract:
Digital rights management allows one or more of usage rights and delegation rights to be associated with a document. Through the use of the usage rights and the delegation rights, a hierarchy of rights associated with a document is created that provides a tree-type structure of rights extending from the content owner down through one or more users.
