Abstract:

A synchronization framework is provided for synchronizing data groups between a server and clients that may go off-line. The framework includes a client sync provider component that interfaces to client storage in a storage format independent way, a sync agent component that collects synchronization metadata maintained by the clients and uploads and/or downloads changes to the data groups to and/or from server storage and a server sync provider component that interfaces via sync adapters to server storage independently of storage format. The framework provides default building blocks for building off-line synchronizing applications that behave according to default application synchronization scenarios, and also enables custom building blocks for custom off-line application synchronization scenarios.

Computer-readable media, systems, and methods for intelligent information display are described. In embodiments, a display environment is monitored for one or more audience data and, upon receiving the one or more audience data, display information is processed in accordance with the one or more audience data and the processed display information is presented. In various embodiments, the audience data includes user gestures that indicate a communication with the intelligent information display, such as gestures indicating a mouse motion or a mouse click. In various other embodiments, the audience data includes demographic indicia such as the typical gender and/or typical age of an audience in a display environment.

Computer-readable media, systems, and methods for intelligent advertisement display are provided. The intelligent advertisement display comprises a photography device configured to capture one or more images of one or more persons, and electronic display configured to display information to one or more users, a content module configured to store advertising data received from one or more advertisers, one or more location directories and one or more images of one or more persons taken by the photography device. The intelligent advertisement display further comprises a directory module configured to access and display the one or more location directories, receive user inputs and display advertising data from content module associated with the one or more user inputs. Abstract:

Systems and methods are described to enable adaptive handling of domain resolution requests originating from a virtual private cloud (VPC) networking environment. An administrator of the VPC can provide a set of rules specific to the VPC that designates how requests for a domain name should be handled. The rules may specify, for example, that a request for a given domain name should be routed to a particular domain name server, which may include a private domain name server, should be dropped, or should be routed according to a default behavior (e.g., a public domain name system). Resolution requests originating in the VPC can be associated with a VPC identifier. When an adaptive resolution system receives the request, it can retrieve rules associated with the VPC identifier, and apply the rules to determine further routing for the request.

Abstract:

A software calculator is provided herein that includes an art object displayed along with the calculator as part of the calculator. The art object may be displayed as a background image, a portion of which is shown behind the controls and input/output display area of the calculator. The user may select other images from a gallery of available images to be displayed along with the calculator. The user may also provide rating for and/or purchase a print or an original of the art object currently being displayed by a click of a button or link displayed on the user interface of the calculator. The displayed art object may also automatically change or otherwise be updated according to user preferences.
