Abstract:Methods for detecting or diagnosing cancer in a subject are provided herein. Such methods may include, but are not limited to, measuring a test level of 5hmC in a biological sample from the subject; and determining that the subject has a malignant cancer when the test level of 5hmC is lower than that of a control level of 5hmC. Such methods may further include a step of measuring a test level of Ki67 in the biological sample and determining that the subject has a malignant cancer when the test level of Ki67 is higher than that of a control level of Ki67.
