Abstract:

A system and method for race warning generation for computer program verification includes determining shared variables and determining context-sensitive points-to sets for lock pointers by focusing on pointers that may affect aliases of lock pointers, and by leveraging function summarization. Locksets are determined at locations where shared variables are accessed using the points-to sets for lock pointers. Warnings are based on disjointness of locksets.

A computer implemented method for the verification of concurrent software programs wherein the concurrent software program is partitioned into subsets named concurrent trace programs (CTPs) and each of the CTPs is evaluated using a satisfiability-based (SAT) symbolic analysis. By applying the SAT analysis to individual CTPs in isolation the symbolic analysis is advantageously more scalable and efficient.

A metal-gas cell storage battery, such as a zinc-air cell battery, has one or more battery cells wherein each battery cell comprises a metallic anode sandwiched between a pair of gas cathodes. Each gas cathode is disposed within a rigid retaining structure. The retaining structures of each gas cathode are attached to one another by an expandable soft pocket capable of holding an electrolyte. The anode is disposed within the soft pocket. The cell is mechanically refueled by expanding the soft pocket to allow easy removal from the cell of the spent anode and easy insertion into the cell of a fresh anode.
