The SEC attached an alert on social media usage by advisers to its news release about the charges against the investment adviser, Anthony Fields. It also attached a similar alert for investors with tips to help avoid fraud online.In its order bringing administrative proceedings against Fields, the SEC alleges he made multiple fraudulent offers through his firms, Anthony Fields & Associates and Platinum Securities Brokers.He provided false and misleading information concerning Anthony Fields & Associates' assets under management, clients, and operational history to the public through its website and in SEC filings, the SEC alleges.
