Abstract:A shoe, including: g) an upper, having an inside and an outside, and including a toe box, a heel part, the heel part having a top section and a bottom section, and a split throat, the split throat having two flaps one on either side of the split throat; h) a sole, having an arch position; i) two tightening levers, one tightening lever on either flap of the split throat; j) a first tube entering the top section of the heel part on a first side of the shoe, proceeding downward and forward along the inside of the upper to about the arch position, and crossing the shoe to a second side of the shoe; k) a second tube entering the top section of the heel part on the second side of the shoe, proceeding downward and forward along the inside of the upper to about the arch position, proceeding below the insole and crossing the shoe to the first side of the shoe; l) a shoe lace attached at a first end to the tightening lever on the first side of the shoe, proceeding through the first tube and out of the shoe to form a loop outside of the heel part, entering the second tube and proceeding out of the second tube with a second end of the shoe lace attached to the tightening lever on the second side of the shoe; and g) a plurality of hooks attached to outside of the heel part, whereby the shoes may be tightened by hooking the loop onto one of the plurality of hooks and thereby pulling the two flaps together.

Abstract:A skimmer basket assembly has an basket, a circular platform with a magnetically permeable ring supported on a spring, a guide tube having a lowermost end of the guide tube positioned above an uppermost position of the circular platform, and a flag assembly within the guide tube, the flag assembly having a central stem, a flag at an uppermost end, a magnetic tip at a lowermost end, and a float. With the skimmer basket in a housing, with water flowing through, and the circular platform at an uppermost position, the flag assembly is held to the ring, and, with debris collected in the basket, increased force compresses the spring, separating the flag assembly, allowing the flag mechanism to float upward as an alert that there is debris in the skimmer basket.

The shoe lacing system can include a pair of sliding members coupled underneath a pair of shoelace receivers that are adapted to move along a track underneath the pair of sliding members, the ends of each of the loop segments are coupled to either one of the pair of shoelace receivers or one of the pair of sliding members. The shoe lacing system can include shoelace loops that are tensioned by pulling each of the shoelace loops and crossing and coupling each of the shoelace loops to notches disposed outside of each of the pair of shoelace outlets. Additionally, a shoe lacing kit is provided that incudes at least one shoelace lacing system component, and one or more pads having piercing pins protruding from a side thereof, the one or more pads capable of securing the at lest one shoelace lacing system component to a portion of a shoe. Yet another aspect of the invention relates to a shoe lacing device, comprising a first portion and a second portion hingedly attached to the first portion, the second portion including a hook or an opening.
