Histotechnology: Tissue trimming, fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning and staining (IHC-stain). Vivarium and Colony Capabilities: Colony management including record keeping, animal care (including nude mice), compliance with animal regulatory and ethical practices as well as operation of animal facilities, rodent surgery, treatment and tissue collection. In Vivo infection of murine models using live viral vectors, animal husbandry and breeding selection, tattoo identification, strain development and advanced genotyping involving complex transgenic mutants (CRE systems included, specific emphasis), Cigarette "smoking" of mice and development of animal experimentation. Chemical Techniques: Esterification, Batch and fractional distillation, alkyd and polyester synthesis, cloud point, pour point, extraction, antioxidant usage, NMR, IR, MS, GPC, theoretical Iodine, GC. Computer: Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs; Adobe: Fireworks, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop; ImageJ; Language editing, writing, and graphic design Other: patient interaction in medical settings, record keeping, language editing, public speaking and graphic design. Proficient in lab safety, thorough record maintenance, calculations, lab maintenance, chemical cataloging, equipment operation and maintenance, experiment planning, method troubleshooting, public presentation, preparation of figures, data management and analysis.
