Abstract:

The present invention applies speech recognition technology to remote access, verification, and identification applications. Speech recognition is used to raise the security level of many types of transaction systems which previously had serious safety drawbacks, including: point of sale systems, home authorization systems, systems for establishing a call to a called party (including prison telephone systems), internet access systems, web site access systems, systems for obtaining access to protected computer networks, systems for accessing a restricted hyperlink, desktop computer security systems, and systems for gaining access to a networked server. A general speech recognition system using communication is also presented. Further, different types of speech recognition methodologies are useful with the present invention, such as “simple” security methods and systems, multi-tiered security methods and systems, conditional multi-tiered security methods and systems, and randomly prompted voice token methods and systems.

Abstract:

Merging data from LOB applications into document templates within productivity applications without the need for custom programming is provided. A document template within a productivity application is provided, and an XML schema is attached to the document template. The XML schema allows the LOB application data to be modeled generically using a business object paradigm. Meta-data is accessed from the LOB application. Using the attached XML schema, a user may mark-up the document template with schema nodes corresponding to the meta-data from the LOB application. Data from the LOB application may then be accessed and merged into the schema nodes, creating a data-merged document. Data may be further interactively merged from the LOB application into the data-merged document.

Architecture that maintains the user experience as close as possible to the user experience when dealing with the usual/regular forms and data provided in an office application when dealing with hybrid forms and hybrid data. Synchronization of the hybrid data to single-master and multi-masters systems is accomplished when the associated hybrid client goes offline, changes are made to the hybrid data, and then the client comes back online. For example, where the single-master system is a line-of-business (LOB) server system and the multi-master system is an officer server that employs collaboration capability, the architecture allows office users to access, manipulate, and share LOB entity information using collaborative means, while at the same time, ensuring data and business process consistency for the LOB entity in the LOB system.

Abstract:

Allowing multiple software applications to share an object of an application system is provided. Each of the multiple software applications is associated with a line of business (LOB) system and is associated with a solution ID. The application system may receive a request to establish a first binding between the object and a first LOB entity instance for a first software application. The first binding between the object and the first LOB entity instance may then be established. The application system may further receive a request to establish a second binding between the object and a second LOB entity instance for a second software application. The second binding between the object and the second LOB entity instance will be established when the first and second software applications have matching solution IDs and compatible sharing levels to the object. The application system may therefore establish user interface and data sharing between the first and second LOB entity instances in the object.
