Abstract:

The fluid-based electrical generator utilizes driven flow of a fluid to power an electrical generator for driving an external electrical device. The generator includes a reservoir having at least one sidewall and a floor. A motor coupled to a rotating shaft is mounted external to the reservoir, and a propeller is secured to the rotating shaft. The propeller is driven by the motor and is positioned within the reservoir for generating fluid flow. A rotating support having at least one vane secured thereto is rotatably secured to the floor of the reservoir, and the rotating support is driven to rotate by the fluid flow. An axle is further provided, with a lower end thereof being secured to the rotating support. The electrical generator is coupled to an upper end of the axle, with rotation of the axle driving the electrical generator to produce electricity for the external device.

Abstract:

An air gap adapter for use with a water treatment faucet constructed and arranged for being mounted in a standard countertop faucet opening. The adapter includes an adapter base with an underside, defining a base throughbore for a standard faucet inlet nipple, having an RO retentate inlet port and a separate RO retentate outlet port. A cone insert has a platform covering at least a portion of the base, and a cone formation vertically projecting from the platform and being in fluid communication with the inlet port. An outlet opening is on the cone formation in fluid communication with the outlet port. An adapter cover disposed over the cone insert and the base includes a cone cover portion and a base cover portion, as well as a cover throughbore in registry with the throughbore. The adapter is constructed and arranged to be optionally mounted to a countertop with the faucet.

Abstract:

A drink formulating system includes a housing having a housing outlet, a receiving tank receiving water poured by a user, and a pump being configured for pumping water from the receiving tank. A first filter is in fluid communication with the pump for removing a first set of substances from the water. A second filter removes a second set of substances different from the first set of substances from the water obtained from the receiving tank. A second filter outlet is connected to an additive module having at least two additive cartridges, each cartridge supplying a designated composition of potable nutrients. A user-controlled interface allows for user selection of one of the designated nutrient compositions, which are then pumped into water from the chilling tank and distributed from the housing outlet.

Abstract:

The present disclosure relates to a trocar assembly with an integrated scope-cleaning structure. The trocar assembly may include a housing defining boundaries of a chamber with (a) a proximal opening configured to receive a distal end of a scope, and (b) a distal opening in fluid and mechanical communication with a trocar cannula. The trocar assembly may further include a cleaning element located at least partially between the proximal opening and the distal opening, where the cleaning element is movable with respect to the housing from at least a first setting where a first portion of the cleaning element may be in a first location and may form a first cleaning surface within the chamber, the first cleaning surface configured to remove debris from a distal end of the scope when the distal end of the scope contacts the first portion of the cleaning element.

A trocar assembly includes a cannula having a proximal portion and an opposing distal portion. The distal portion is configured to extend into a patient body. The cannula defines an access channel between the proximal portion and the distal portion, wherein the access channel is configured to receive a scope such that the scope can be maneuvered through the access channel to a location within the patient body.
