Abstract:

A system and method for tracking multifunction peripheral device user satisfaction captures user images and audio during device operation. User characteristics such as gestures, posture, spoke words or facial expressions are used in conjunction with device status information to determine whether the user is satisfied with the device. If not, remedial action is initiated, such as launching a virtual assistant on the multifunction peripheral touchscreen or summoning of a human assistant.

Abstract:

A system and method for employee retention includes determining an employee's happiness level by analysis of their attire from a captured image. Image capture and employee identification is commenced when an employee uses their employer ID to enter a work premises. Captured images are analyzed for attire content. Attire content is categorized and analyzed relative to other fashion images to gage an employee's likes or dislikes, along with their happiness level. Remedial suggestions are generated when a happiness level falls below a set threshold level. Remedial suggestions may include gifts personal to an employee as determined from their attire. Captured images and web data are subject to artificial intelligence and machine learning to continuously improve analysis and recommendations.

Abstract:

A system and method for managing print services between multifunction peripherals and a print server includes a connector server. The connector server subscribes to event notifications from each multifunction peripheral through two or more network adapters. Events are relayed from the connector server to the print server, irrespective as to which network adapter receives them. The connector server also relays web content between the multifunction peripheral and the print server.

Abstract:

The disclosed technology described pertain to collection swabs that are designed to capture and retain specimen, tissue, or fluids from a patient. The collection swabs are generally inserted into a desired location, such as a nasal cavity. During the process of insertion, a user maneuvers the collection swab and in the process dislodges and collects various specimen, tissue, or fluids from the patient. The collection swab utilizes specially designed distal or tip portions and/or sleeves or cages in order to capture and retain the specimen, tissue, and fluids. The various designs associated with the distal or tip portion and the sleeve or cages affect not only how much specimen, tissue, or fluids can be collected but also how much of the specimen, tissue, or fluids can be retained after the collection swab is removed from the patient. By obtaining the various specimen, tissue, or fluids, studies can be performed regarding the patient's health, for example, identifying the presence of specific virus such as COVID-19.

A system and method for multiple account document processing cost accounting includes a multifunction peripheral including an intelligent controller having a processor and memory. A document processing engine operates in conjunction with instructions issued from the intelligent controller. The intelligent controller receives into memory document processing job data associated with a user. A user interface receives user input identifying the user. The user selects one or more charge based document processing operations to be performed. An account balance associated with the user is checked against one or more requested operations. User device operation permissions are assigned for each operation for which the user has sufficient credit in their account. Each document processing operation for which a permission has been given is completed, and the information is used to recalculate the user's account balance.

A system and method for deploying software such as a distributed customized user interface package creates a single package for deploying the interface to multifunction peripherals having different characteristics. A customized user interface is associated with each of a plurality of base binary files which correspond to different multifunction peripheral characteristics, such as firmware version or touchscreen size. A user interface configuration module is created for each binary file. The user interface configuration modules are described with associated metadata. All user interface configuration modules are packaged and deployed to an application deployment tool. A system and method for placing sales associates on a retail sales premises floor includes retrieving purchasing data including information on previous customer location patterns and associated sales information. This data is analyzed relative to current inventory data including information on currently displayed products, product locations and product promotions, along with current customer clustering as determined by heat signatures received from overhead digital cameras. A processor determines, from the purchasing data, the current inventory data and customer locations, a recommended placement of sales associates on the retail floor.
