Abstract:

An integrated circuit comprising both memory and logic wherein at least one layer of the integrated circuit is fabricated using a common grating pattern for both memory and logic is described. In one embodiment, the integrated circuit comprises a substrate, an active layer, and a gate material layer such as a polysilicon layer, and the active layer, the gate material layer, or both the active layer and the gate material layer are formed using a common grating pattern for both memory and logic. By using a common grating pattern for both memory and logic, a corresponding layer of the integrated circuit can be reliably and affordably manufactured using sub-wavelength lithography.

Abstract:

An Internet based real estate transaction and release tracking system that insures deeds of trust, liens and other encumbrances are released in a timely manner after the lien holder has received payment for the underlying obligation. Based on information provided by an agent, such as an escrow agent or a settlement agent, the system creates a unique electronic record for each real estate transaction entered by the agent. The system receives update information, either automatically from other computers or via manual input from searchers, and uses this update information to track each real estate transaction. The system monitors the records and indicates when a lien holder has failed to release their lien after a statutory time period that begins after the passing of the settlement date. When the statutory time period has passed, the system generates a number of forms, including a demand letter. The demand letter is sent to the lien holder demanding them to release the lien. If the lien is not thereafter released, further legal documents can be generated and sent to a law firm for legal action to be taken against the delinquent lien holder.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a system and method for facilitating authentication and data/content integrity verification of printed documents underlying legal transactions and other documents requiring durability, including real estate and loan transactions, for example. A Unique Content Identifier parses the document one page (or other pre-determined segment) at a time. Each segment of the document is assigned a digit or group of digits, and each page or document segment can be provided with a single digit in the overall identifier. The entirety of digits associated with a document is aggregated into an authentication string. Upon receiving a request to process the document later, the present invention can authenticate and verify the integrity of the document by reading the presented document to obtain an authentication string, and then compare the new string with the previously stored string. Upon a successful match, the document is considered valid, authenticated and unaltered.

Abstract:

In a computerized method, a moving articulated figure is tracked in a sequence of 2-D images measured by a monocular camera. The images are individually registered with each other using a 2-D scaled prismatic model of the figure. The 2-D model includes a plurality of links connected by revolute joints to form is a branched, linear-chain of connected links. The registering produces a state trajectory for the figure in the sequence of images. During a reconstructing step, a 3-D model is fitted to the state trajectory to estimate kinematic parameters, and the estimated kinematic parameters are refined using an expectation maximization technique.
