Abstract:

A vertical structured Light Emitting Diode (LED) array using wafer level bonding. The process bonds two or more LED arrays vertically to produce light mixing in a small footprint. The vertically bonded LED array contains through substrate vias and a plurality of metal posts coated with solder to form an internal cavity between the LED layers. This LED array structure is intrinsically hermetically sealed.

Abstract:

The present invention is related to methods and apparatus that provide an Internet telecommunications operating system (iTOS) that provides software developers with an intermediate layer to assist in the development of telecommunications applications for the Internet. One embodiment of the present invention includes APIs adapted to communicate with the underlying general operating system and the underlying hardware such that a higher-level application written for use with the iTOS is portable. The iTOS automatically detects and allocates locally and remotely available hardware resources, thereby insulating the higher-level application from having to search and detect hardware. In addition, the iTOS can further include redundancy features, such as the dynamic reallocation of resources and the automatic reconfiguration of malfunctioning or overloaded hardware, thereby enhancing the robustness of a related telecommunications network as a whole.

Abstract:

The present invention provides systems and methods for processing calls over a network using a web page. In one embodiment, a server receives a user call request generated by a user activating a web page call request control, which submits a uniform resource locator (URL) corresponding to a networked resource. Data for a first telephone number corresponding to the requested URL is downloaded to a client computer used to place the call request. A call client requests that a call connection be established between the user client computer and a communication terminal corresponding to the telephone number. The call connection is then established.

Abstract:

One embodiment of the present invention is a gateway call routing system used to route calls, wherein the gateway connects a PSTN and the Internet. The call routing system includes a first computer connection module for connecting to a computer terminal, such as an Internet voice terminal, of a calling party, and a first phone connection module for connecting to a phone terminal of the calling party. In addition, the call routing system includes a second computer connection module for connecting to a computer terminal of a called party, and a second phone connection module for connecting to a phone terminal of the called party. Further, the call routing system includes a voice tuning module which sets voice tuning to a phone-to-phone mode if the terminal of the calling party is a phone and the terminal of the called party is also a phone, to a computer-to-phone mode if the terminal of the calling party is a computer and the terminal of the called party is a phone, to a phone-to-computer mode if the terminal of the calling party is a phone and the terminal of the called party is a computer, and to a computer-to-computer mode if the terminal of the calling party is a computer and the terminal of the called party is also a computer.

Information regarding potentially objectionable content in media content may be stored in databases. Based on the information regarding potentially objectionable content and the defined criteria, the database may provide censor instructions.
