In accordance with the present invention there is provided a lifting device for a boat, the lifting device including a first platform and a plurality of linkage members, the plurality of linkage members configured to form at least two four-bar linkage assemblies, each having a first end pivotally attached to the platform and a second end pivotally attached to a boat. The lifting device further including at least one hydraulic cylinder, the cylinder having a first end and second end, the first end being pivotally affixed to the structure of a boat and the second end pivotally attached to at least one linkage member, and a fluid device in communication with the hydraulic cylinder. A load sharing member connects the two four-bar linkage assemblies and prevents uneven or tilted motion of the platform.
Graphical User Interface For Managing Virtual Machines
A graphical user interface (GUI) for managing virtual machines (VMs) that are running in one or more hosts provides a search interface that is intuitive and presents search results in a tree structure that lists or marks items that meet user-designated search criteria. User-designated search criteria include favorite VMs, powered-on VMs, VMs running in a specified host, and text-based search criteria. Both VMs that are running locally in a local host and VMs that are running remotely in a remote host are listed so long as they meet the user-designated search criteria and thus can be managed using the GUI.
A framework for developing and testing a software wizard formalizes, through constraint functions, relationships between different pages of the software wizard. A sequence of user interface (UI) pages of a software wizard is generated in accordance with this framework by carrying out the steps of displaying a first UI page that includes a first UI element for causing a transition to a next UI page of the software wizard, wherein the first UI page is associated with one or more constraint functions, detecting an input event that triggers the one or more constraint functions of the first UI page to produce an output that identifies the next UI page in the sequence of UI pages of the software wizard, and transitioning to the next UI page based on the output.

Abstract:
Described are embodiments for management of virtual machines that are executed in one or more hosts. In one example, virtual machines are identified using a search criteria. A graphical user interface is generated with the virtual machines. Each of the plurality of virtual machines is listed in association with an indication of hardware utilized by the virtual machines. An input event is detected that specifies a selected virtual machine. The graphical user interface is updated to show and enable interaction with an operating system executed within the selected virtual machine.
