According to various aspects of the present invention, a technique for promoting audio content via a digital communications network suitably includes registering an artist at a server via a digital network, receiving said audio content from the artist at the server, storing the content in a database at the server, actively and/or passively promoting the audio content via the digital network to one or more audio recipients from the server, and processing a payment form the artist at the server. An exemplary server suitable for use in promoting audio content via a digital network suitably includes a network interface, a web server or other suitable interface, and programming to execute registration, active and/or passive promotion, and payment processing functionality. Abstract:

According to various exemplary embodiments, methods and system for distributing advertising materials suitably include embedding a pointer (such as an HTML body statement and URL) into a document viewed by a user. As the page is processed by the users' browser, the browser follows the pointer to obtain an image or other file from a background server. The file or image may then be viewed by the user as part of the document. Various alternate embodiments include processing by the background server to select and serve an image/file that is variable according to time or a last image viewed, or according to user preferences or interests.

Abstract:

An apparatus for dislodging a blocked plumbing system and method of use are disclosed. In one form, an apparatus for dislodging a plumbing system via a drain receptacle includes a substrate shaped to cover a portion of a drain receptacle. The substrate includes an exterior edge having a shape substantially similar to the drain receptacle and a top portion and a bottom portion and a hole extending through the substrate. A gasket is coupled to the exterior edge of the substrate and operable to create a substantially airtight seal between the drain receptacle and the substrate. The apparatus includes a valve extending through a portion of the hole and coupled to the top portion of the substrate and the valve selectively is operable to provide an open state and a closed state. The closed state provides a substantially airtight seal between a void volume and a vacuum source and the open state enabling a fluid communication path between the vacuum source and the void volume. The apparatus further includes an elongated pipe including a first end coupled to a portion of the valve and a second end and a curved pipe having a first curved pipe end and a second curved pipe end, the first curved pipe end coupled to the second elongated pipe end and the second curved pipe end operable to be connected to a vacuum source.

Abstract:

An air deflector is adapted to be mounted on a vehicle and, by deflecting air, to reduce turbulence and drag associated with another vehicle which is towed by the first vehicle. The air deflector includes a side shield to extend outwardly and rearwardly outside a side wall of the front vehicle along the side wall, and a mounting for the shield, to mount the shield on the front vehicle. The side shield has an inner edge surface which defines an edge surface contour for facing the side wall of the vehicle in close proximity to such side wall. The mounting is adapted to accomplish the facing-close proximity relationship between the inner edge surface of the shield and the side wall of the vehicle. The mounting includes a post to insert in a substantially vertical opening provided on the front vehicle, and a brace. The post has a surface to extend outwardly and rearwardly and to abut the rear surface of the shield.
