Abstract:

This invention applies to a bolt-on neck guitar or similar instrument or device. The mechanism of this invention, a multiple section hinge with one end flap attached to the neck and the other end flap attached to the body while the center section stays sandwiched between the neck and the body in normal use, allows the removal of the neck screws with the strings under tension by the hinge absorbing the horizontal stress produced by the tension of the strings. The neck is then rotated 180 degrees to rest on top of the body where it can be secured with a clamp or a strap for transportation or stowage. The neck holding screws can be replaced with a large single one, reducing the time required to loosen the neck, while still maintaining the possibility of using the normal four screws in addition to or in lieu of the single one if so desired, since the tone of the guitar is improved when the pressure of the neck-body junction is increased and distributed over a larger area. By folding the neck on top of the guitar, the bulk and the chances of damaging the instrument are greatly reduced, since the neck can be secured at both ends and the instrument can fit in boxes or pieces of luggage in which an ordinary guitar would not fit, in particular a carry-on size piece of luggage, which allows the traveler guitarist to have full control of the whereabouts of the instrument at all times.

Abstract:

A computer-implemented system for aggregating and analyzing financial and other data for creating reports and decisions in real-time is provided. The system includes a first computer for sending an order, a server for receiving the order and sending an order communication, a second computer for receiving the order communication and transmitting account information, and an account server having at least one non-relational database containing transaction data related to a requester. A data relevancy engine operable on the server aggregates, analyzes, and performs calculations using the transaction data to generate reports based on one or more rules or rulesets. Each rule is created via a relational query directed at at least one of the one or more non-relational databases or at other existing rules. The system also provides an approved determination or a denied determination in response to a request for credit, other financing, a new account, insurance, or a lease.

Abstract:

On a worm drive the second bushing of the worm is replaced with an oblique thrust surface or made to follow a path constraining the worm to move closer to the gear as it is pushed forward by the gear itself as a result of the torque applied by the load. The oblique forces thus generated push the worm towards the gear and constitute a meshing force that makes the system self-adjusting with zero play between the parts, eliminating backlash and dependency from manufacturing tolerances and from the effects of wear. It also results in freedom of movement between worm and gear allowing them to be easily disengaged. The meshing force is predictable and independent from the deformability of the parts, and makes possible the use of stronger triangular teeth, allowing much higher gear ratios.

Abstract:

The disclosure is directed to an interactive entertainment kiosk that is immersive, intuitive to use, and provides significant and varied functionality to users. In particular, the kiosk can provide a photo booth mode, a karaoke mode, a virtual reality mode, and/or a game mode, among other possibilities. Further, switching between modes can be intuitive through the use of touch screens and other input devices. For example, a user can provide input to select a particular electronic device for display, and the display can automatically be set to the proper mode. Further, a display may be mounted on the kiosk via a rotatable display mount, and the display may be automatically rotated to a proper orientation for the selected mode. In some embodiments, the kiosk can provide an immersive experience through the use of light sources that automatically adjust in accordance with audio of the kiosk.
