Abstract:

A circuit assembly for vehicle power and electronic circuits in a printed circuit board bussed electrical center. The circuit assembly includes a stamped metal circuit with both power level terminals and solder tabs dispersed selectively along the longitudinal length of the stamped metal circuit. The solder tabs are press-fit and soldered to individual circuit board traces of a printed circuit board of the bussed electrical center. High current protective devices are directly connected to the stamped metal circuit.

Abstract:

An electrical current-carrying apparatus includes a housing containing a plurality of electronic devices that also includes a plurality of removable electronic devices. The housing further defines a plurality of openings so that the removable devices are accessible through at least one of the plurality of openings. The housing receivably couples at least one wire cable that is in electrical communication with the electronic devices. When the at least one wire cable is receivably coupled to the housing and the at least one removable device needs accessed, the at least one removable electronic device is accessed through at least one of the plurality of openings while the at least one coupled wire cable remains attached to the housing. A relay and fuse electronic circuit arrangement and a fuse electronic circuit arrangement each effectively utilize the allotted packaging space within the apparatus while also conserving the use of circuit board trace.

Abstract:

A wire feeding device is for placing wire that is restrained in troughs. The device has a housing. A wire feeding assembly is mounted to the housing. The wire feeding assembly includes a feed tube for the wire to pass through. The feed tube directs the wire for placement in a trough. The trough extends at least one axial direction and has an opening for the wire to be placed in the trough, and the trough includes a restraining mechanism positioned over the opening to the trough. A wedge is adapted to be inserted into the trough to move the restraining mechanism for placement of wire into the trough. The wedge moves the restraining mechanism from a first position to a second position, the first position being over the opening to the trough and the second position being away from first position.

Abstract:

An electrical distribution center having a base connected to one or several wiring harnesses and a connector body that is configured to be electrically and mechanically connected to the base. The connector body houses electrical devices such as relays, fuses, and control modules. The connector body is secured to the base by a pair of slides having dog-leg shaped slots that engage studs on the base. A single slide lever having two arms attached to each of the slides is pivotably attached to the connector body and the slides and is configured to simultaneously move the dog-leg shaped slots relative to the studs on the base, thereby securing the connector body to the base.
