Abstract:
A method for recording changing boiler conditions over time in three spatial dimensions including: sensing the boiler conditions in real time using sensors which traverse the combustion chamber and gas path generating data from a plurality of positions in one or more supervisory spaces of interest within the boiler system; transmitting the generated data to a computer system; presenting data containing sensor position information and which optionally contains temperature, chemical species information, and other combustor condition information for delivery to a boiler management system to enable said boiler management system to make real time operational adjustments.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for treating a coal combustion flue gas. In one embodiment, the method includes injecting a halogen into a flue gas, and injecting partially combusted, carbon enriched alkaline coal ash solid particles into the flue gas ahead of a particulate collection device. In another embodiment, the method includes exposing partially combusted, carbon enriched alkaline coal ash solid particles to a halogen containing atmosphere, and injecting the halogen atmosphere treated alkaline carbon containing solid particles into the flue gas ahead of a particulate collection device.

Abstract:
A low profile cable connector includes a mating connector face, and first and second lateral sides extending from said mating connector face. One of the first and second sides comprises a bail latch retainer thereon, and a jack screw latch is located adjacent the other of said first and second sides. The cable exit extends from one of the first and second sides at an angle to the mating connector face. The bail latch retainer comprises a bail latch slot, and the jack screw extends through a top surface of the connector. The connector is defined by first and second backshells joined to one another.
