Abstract:
A one piece molded flexible drive shaft assembly of a hardened moldable material has an elongated flexible drive shaft core having a shaft drive input end, a shaft drive output end and integrally molded therewith at each end a coupling member of a hardened moldable material to connect the input end and the output end to a drive input and a drive output respectively.
Printer With Multiple-Sized Sheets Duplex Tray Assembly
A printing machine having a sheet path for moving sheets, a buffer tray assembly for receiving and holding sheets of various sizes and orientation without skewing such sheets. The buffer tray assembly includes a sheet feeding unit, mounted adjacent to and upstream of a sheet holding unit thereof, relative to sheet movement, for feeding, seriatim and without skewing, sheets of various sizes and orientations from the path into the sheet holding unit. The sheet feeding unit includes a sheet driving roller. The sheet driving roller has a plurality of operative positions that are spaced laterally along the sheet cross-path dimension of the sheet path, and that correspond respectively to the midpoints of cross-path dimensions of the various size sheets being fed into the sheet holding unit for feeding and stacking sheets without sheet skew.
In a reproduction apparatus outputting copy sheets via exit rollers and stacking the outputted copy sheets adjacent the exit rollers in a stacking tray, and which exit rollers are reversible in their direction of rotation to feed selected copy sheets imaged on one side back into the reproduction apparatus in a return path to be reimaged, an actuatable gate system prevents the previously outputted and stacking copy sheets from being recaptured by the reversed rotation exit rollers, by interposing a guide or baffle between the stacking copy sheets and the exit rollers to prevent accidental re-acquisition of copy sheets by the reversed rollers automatically in response to the reversal in direction of rotation of the exit rollers. The guide or baffle preferably comprises commonly rotatably mounted arcuate fingers closely adjacent the exit rollers, which fingers are automatically rotated to extend outside of the periphery of the exit rollers towards the stacking tray in response to the reversal in direction of rotation of the exit rollers. That may be accomplished by camming this finger rotation from an axial shifting of the exit rollers also providing lateral deregistration.

Abstract:
A method of programming of a machine jam in an image processing apparatus by selecting a sensor associated with a desired sheet path zone by scrolling a list of sensors on a display screen, setting the control to ignore a non jam signal from the selected sensor, initiating the operation of a job run, recording a jam signal from the selected sensor and displaying selected mimics on a display, and cycling down the machine in response to the jam signal by the selected sensor.
