Abstract:

Disclosed is a method and circuit for inputting phrases to a wireless mobile device and retrieving the saved phrases. For retrieval of the phrase, the user will enter a numeric sequence which represents the first letter or symbol of the words of a phrase. The method includes inputting to the wireless communication device a phrase having a plurality of words, each word having a starting letter or symbol. The wireless communication device can process the phrase to correlate one key of the keyboard to the starting letter or symbol of each of the plurality of words of the phrase to generate a numerical sequence representative of the phrase. The user then uses the keypad to input into the wireless communication device the numerical sequence to generate the phrase.

Abstract:

A method of inputting text in an electronic device () including a display () and an input user interface () having a plurality of keys () arranged in a predetermined pattern includes a plurality of steps. In a first step, a list of potential characters is compiled and includes at least one subset less than or equal in number to the number of keys in the keypad matrix () on the input user interface (). The first subset from the list of potential characters is displayed in an arrangement corresponding to the position of the keys (). The desired character selection is received by sensing actuation of a key on the input user interface () corresponding to the position of a character on the display ().

The present invention provides genetic markers on human chromosome 19 that are associated with a beneficial response to interferon alpha (IFN-α). These IFN-α response markers are useful, inter alia, to identify patients who are most likely to benefit from treatment with IFN-α pharmaceutical compositions and drug products, in methods of treating patients having a disease susceptible to treatment with an IFN-α, and in methods for selecting the most appropriate therapy for such patients.
