Abstract:

Methods and systems for context aware dynamic relative positioning of fog nodes in a fog computing ecosystem are disclosed. A method includes: receiving, by a computing device, data from a plurality of Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensors in an environment; creating, by the computing device, a model using the data from the plurality of IoT sensors; determining, by the computing device, a number of computing nodes based on the model and additional data received from the plurality of IoT sensors; and deploying, by the computing device, at least one mobile computing node in the environment based on the determined number of computing nodes and a number of existing computing nodes in the environment.

Abstract:

A computer-implemented method for customizing training contents for a user, including: establishing a user profile and a personal learning corpus for the user; generating a first baseline indicating that the user is interested and a second baseline indicating that the user is not interested; monitoring the user's reactions when the user is consuming contents related to a second topic, wherein the reactions include the one or more of biometrical indicators, facial expressions, and body language; comparing the reactions with the first baseline and the second baseline to determine an interest level; and recommending additional contents related to the second topic if the interest level is higher than a predefined threshold.

Abstract:

A method for processing commands in a network, wherein audio data is received at a local IoT device that is one of a plurality of IoT devices connected to the network. The audio data corresponds to a first data type. The audio data may be determined to include a command destined for a remote device, wherein the local IoT device cannot execute the command. The plurality of networked IoT devices may be queried to determine if the command is associated with a remote network device, wherein the remote IoT device is compatible with the remote device command type. Further, the method determines that the remote IoT device is not compatible with local type commands. The method may then convert the audio data to text data, wherein the second IoT device is compatible with the text data. The text data may then be transmitted to the remote IoT device for execution.

A computer system performs an action on an object identified from a command. A command is analyzed to perform an action on a target object, wherein the command includes a term for the target object that refers to a plurality of different candidate objects. The target object is identified from the plurality of different candidate objects based on historical associations of the term with specific ones of the candidate objects, recent interactions with the different candidate objects, and a state of the candidate objects provided by network devices. The action is performed on the identified target object. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and program product for performing an action on an object identified from a command in substantially the same manner described above.

In an approach to adjusting notification alerts based on biometric data, one or more computer processors receive one or more user preferences from a first user. One or more computer processors receive a prompt from a computing device to generate a notification. One or more computer processors retrieve biometric data associated with the first user. One or more computer processors determine a biometric state of the first user based on the retrieved biometric data. One or more computer processors adjust a notification alert based on the received one or more user preferences and on the determined biometric state of the first user.
