Abstract:

Systems and methods are provided for: receiving an image containing a code that has one or more visual qualities that fail to satisfy respective thresholds; applying a trained machine learning model to find a rough location of the code by generating a bounding box and cropping out the portion of the image; applying another trained machine learning model to the portion of the image to estimate key point locations of the code depicted in the portion of the image, aligning the portion of the image that depicts the code based on the estimated key point locations; and decoding, by the other trained machine learning model, the aligned portion of the image that depicts the code.

Abstract:

Systems, methods, devices, instructions, and other examples are described for natural language processing. One example includes accessing natural language processing general encoder data, where the encoder data is generated from a general-domain dataset that is not domain specific. A domain specific dataset is accessed and filtered encoder data using a subset of the encoder data is generated. The filtered encoder data is trained using the domain specific dataset to generate distilled encoder data, and tuning values for the distilled encoder data are generated to configure task outputs associated with the domain specific dataset.

Abstract:

A method of implementing location-guided visual code scanning from long distances starts with a processor receiving from client device a media content item and a location of the client device. Processor detects a portion of the media content item including image of captured visual code. Processor aligns image of captured visual code in the portion of the media content item to generate rectified image of captured visual code. Processor selects, based on location of the client device, subset of visual codes of the visual codes in database that stores visual codes and visual code location estimates associated with the plurality of visual codes. Processor detects matching visual code from the subset of visual codes using the rectified image of the captured visual code and causes a selectable item associated with the matching visual code to be displayed by the client device. Other embodiments are described herein.
