The present invention also discloses methods of making theaflavin, theaflavin-3-gallate, theaflavin-3′-gallate and theaflavin 3,3′-digallate, each as a separate compound, pharmaceutical compositions of the above compounds, diet supplement compositions of the above compounds and methods for using the above compounds to treat or prevent various diseases.
Devices for cooling and humidifying a reformate stream from a reforming reactor as well as related methods, modules and systems includes a heat exchanger and a sprayer. The heat exchanger has an inlet, an outlet, and a conduit between the inlet and the outlet. The heat exchanger is adapted to allow a flow of a first fluid (e. g. water) inside the conduit and to establish a heat exchange relationship between the first fluid and a second fluid (e. g. reformate from a reforming reactor) flowing outside the conduit. The sprayer is coupled to the outlet of the heat exchanger for spraying the first fluid exiting the heat exchanger into the second fluid.

Abstract:
Improved techniques for making copy detection patterns and using them to detect copying relationships between digital representations. The techniques include techniques for including a message in a copy detection pattern without altering the copy detection patterns entropy and reading the message, techniques for using a copy detection pattern on an analog form to determine whether the analog form is an original analog form without reference to a digital representation of the original of the analog form's copy detection pattern, techniques for increasing the sensitivity of copy detection using copy detection patterns by modifying one of two copy detection patterns that are being compared to take into account alterations resulting from the copying process, techniques for distributing a copy detection pattern across a document, and techniques for using the entropy of a copy detection pattern to locate the copy detection pattern. Also disclosed are applications of copy detection patterns with copying that involves transformations between the digital and analog forms and with digital-to-digital copying.

Abstract:
An acoustical stack for use within an ultrasound transducer that has a center frequency has a poled piezoelectric material layer and at least one impedance matching layer. The poled piezoelectric material layer has top and bottom sides and is formed of poled piezoelectric material that has a first acoustic impedance. The poled piezoelectric material layer has a first thickness and the acoustical stack has an output electrical impedance based on the first thickness. The impedance matching layers are configured to be attached to the top and bottom sides of the poled piezoelectric material layer and have second or third thicknesses. The impedance matching layers are formed of one or more materials that have an acoustic impedance substantially similar to the first acoustic impedance. The poled piezoelectric layer and impedance matching layers form an acoustic resonance thickness. The center frequency of the transducer is based on the acoustic resonance thickness.
Fuel Processor Modules Integration Into Common Housing
A housing containing two or more individual operating components called modules is disclosed. The modules themselves are independently contained in one or more vessels with attendant connectivity structures such as pipes, tubes, wires and the like. Each such vessel or device is configured to conduct at least one unit reaction or operation necessary or desired for generating or purifying a hydrogen enriched product gas formed from a hydrocarbon feed stock. Any vessel or zone in which such a unit operation is conducted, and is separately housed with respect at least one other vessel or zone for conducting a unit operation, is considered a module. Unit reactions or operations include: chemical reaction; combusting fuel for heat (burner); partial oxidation of the hydrocarbon feed stock; desulfurization of, or adsorbing impurities in, the hydrocarbon feed stock or product stream (“reformate”); steam reforming or autothermal reforming of the hydrocarbon feed stock or pre-processed (“reformate”) product stream; water-gas shifting of a pre-processed (reformate) stream; selective or preferential oxidation of pre-processed (reformate) stream; heat exchange for preheating fuel, air, or water; reactant mixing; steam generation; water separation from steam, preheating of reactants such as air, hydrocarbon fuel, and water, and the like.
