Abstract:

A sustained release formulation as a unit dose contains 100 mg-1000 mg of Acetaminophen and 15 mg-150 mg of tramadol hydrochloride, which comprises of 1) an immediate release portion comprising of 25%-75% of the total effective amount of drug in the dosage form and 2) a sustained release portion comprising of a) 25%-75% of the total effective amount of drugs in the dosage form; b) 6%-50% of gelling polymers of the total formulation, and c) optionally an enteric coating at a level of 5%-40% of the total formulation. The set forth formulation dissolves 25%-60% of the total drug in the first hour, 50%-90% of the total drug in the first four hours and not less than 80% of the total drug in the first 12 hours using USP dissolution method II at 50 rpm.

A method and apparatus for configuring a network topology with alternative communication paths. An apparatus that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a network management system (NMS) having a network identification element that identifies a tree topology of network elements in a communication system comprising a root node and a plurality of leaf nodes, a network configuration element that specifies a desired number of alternative communication paths between each of the plurality of leaf nodes and the root node, and a network restructuring element that determines a configuration of additional lateral and vertical communication paths superimposed on a portion of the plurality of leaf nodes that achieves a desired cost objective according to the desired number of alternative paths and associated cost attributes. Abstract:

A method of diagnosing a transmission loop in an Internet protocol television (IPTV) network includes configuring the loop as an open loop and performing a single-ended loop test (SELT), configuring the loop as a terminated-loop and performing another SELT, subtracting a trace of the first SELT from a trace of the second SELT, and determining the length of the loop from the result. A service assurance system in an IPTV network includes a test module and a DSLAM coupled to a residential gateway by a transmission loop. The test module operates to determine that a fault condition on the IPTV network is caused by a fault in the loop, direct the DSLAM to perform an open loop SELT and a terminated-loop SELT on the loop, receive the results of the SELTs, and determine a location of a tap on the loop based upon the results.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a pharmaceutical dosage form for sustained release of a combination of acetaminophen and tramadol or its salts. The dosage form has an immediate release portion and a sustained release portion. The immediate release portion has about 16%-75% of the drugs. The sustained release portion includes: a. about 25%-84% of the drugs, at least one gelling polymer in an amount by weight of the total formulation of about 6% to 50%. The dosage form releases about 25% to about 60% of the drugs in the first hour, and not less than about 80% of the drugs in the first 24 hours in an intestinal fluid dissolution media using USP dissolution method II with the paddle speed between 50 rpm and 100 rpm.

Abstract:

The present invention is a method and apparatus for resource allocation signaling for grouping user real time services. Uplink signaling for voice activity reporting of each user's transition between an active state and an inactive voice state is sent from a wireless transmit/receive unit to a Node B. Radio resource allocation to users of a wireless communication system varies based on user measurement reporting, a pre-determined pattern such as frequency hopping, or a pseudorandom function. Grouping methods are adjusted to better utilize the voice activity factor, so that statistical multiplexing can be used to more efficiently utilize physical resources.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus of resource management for multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) sends a measurement report and an MBMS reception performance report to a network. Single frequency network (SFN) area change may be made based on cell reselection information, WTRU macro-diversity MBMS reception performance, neighbor cell signal strength reported by a WTRU, interference level measured by the WTRU, a number of WTRUs in a cell, service priority, WTRU class, WTRU mobility trend, WTRU location to a cell center, WTRU MBMS reception interference level, etc. The MBMS service on/off decision and/or point-to-point (PTP) to point-to-multipoint (PTM) switching may be made based on a channel condition of a WTRU. The channel condition may be determined based on whether the WTRU is in in-sync or out-of-sync in MBMS reception, consecutive negative acknowledgements (NAKs) within a certain time window, measured pathloss from a reference channel, etc.
