Teresa Heinz Kerry to step down as chair of Heinz Endowments
Andre Heinz, 46, will be the first son to chair the board that oversees the $1.6 billion foundation, which distributed more than $70 million in grants last year. Chris Heinz, 43, will take over in 2020, followed by H. John Heinz IV, 49, in 2024.

David Garth, father of modern political ads, dead at 84
Among Garth's other clients: Governors Ella Grasso of Connecticut and Brendan Byrne of New Jersey, Senators Arlen Specter and John Heinz of Pennsylvania and Mayor Tom Bradley of Los Angeles. He also worked with Adlai Stevenson during his unsuccessful 1960 presidential campaign.
Heinz Kerry is the widow of former U.S. Sen. John Heinz, heir to the Heinz ketchup fortune, with whom she has three sons. Heinz was killed in a helicopter crash in 1991. She married Kerry, 69, in 1995, on Nantucket. The couple have long vacationed on the island.
