Emanuel assures: No plan to charge non-profits property tax
Emanuels version of the super-agency will be run by Ellen Diaz, the former Daley aide now serving as CEO of the Chicago Workforce Investment Council. The first deputy will be John Pfeiffer, executive director of Inspiration Corporation, a non-profit that manages the Inspiration Caf and each year helps 3,000 homeless and low income Chicagoans get back on their feet.
