Abstract:

A motor vehicle has a daytime running light system for providing automatic illumination of a pair of headlamps at reduced intensity. The reduced intensity operation is accomplished by way of a switch mode power converter which operates to provide a daytime running light voltage that is less than the vehicle system voltage normally supplied to the headlamps. The switch mode power converter makes extremely efficient use of the vehicle electrical power by minimizing power dissipation in attaining a lower daytime running light voltage. Furthermore, the daytime running light system is amenable to simple calibration modification to implement varying daytime running light voltage levels in accordance with vehicle system and/or various international requirements.

Abstract:

Systems and methods are described in detail herein for storage and retrieval of objects. The systems and methods allow for automated object retrieval and storage by a user without the need for intervention of a facility employee. Systems and methods described herein place the crane external to storage towers to allow a central shaft of the tower to be used to store objects. Advantageously, storage towers in systems of the present disclosure can include sections of different sizes that can store large objects and objects of varying sizes on a single storage tower. System and methods described herein provide a transport platform that can enable expanded storage in a single machine by translating or rotating multiple storage towers to bring the requested tower proximate to the crane and dispensing window.

Abstract:

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to managing associate delivery. In some embodiments, there is provided a system for managing associate delivery at an end of shift including one or more cameras configured to periodically capture images of a plurality of associates; an associate interface configured to periodically provide locations of the plurality of associates; one or more storage sensors configured to provide storage sensor data used to determine available capacity of a storage area of each of a plurality of personal vehicles; and a control circuit configured to receive a work schedule; determine whereabouts of a corresponding associate; determine that the corresponding associate has completed a work task; determine whether a personal vehicle has storage area capable of storing one or more retail products; and determine whether the corresponding associate is a candidate to deliver the one or more retail products.
