Abstract:

A segmented rolled food item is continuously produced using a rotating segmenting roller having a plurality of parallel circumferential lanes. Each lane contains a series of circumferentially spaced knife edges that are disposed at least substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the roller. A segmented rolled food item is produced by feeding multiple continuous at least substantially parallel strips of a flowable food product, each of which are deposited on pre-slit parallel strips of support material, between the nip of an upper anvil surface and the lower surface of the rotating segmenting roller. The segmentation of the food strip occurs without segmentation of the support strip. After segmenting, the food strip and the support material are cut into lengths to form leading and trailing ends. Each strip of food is rolled around a leading end of the support material to obtain a segmented rolled food item.

Abstract:

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) that may receive an asymmetrically clipped optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (ACO-OFDM) signal is disclosed. The ACO-OFDM signal may include an ACO-OFDM symbol and the ACO-OFDM signal may be generated with or without a pilot or training data. Where the ACO-OFDM signal may not include a pilot or training data, the WTRU may determine a correlation minimum between a first part of N samples of the ACO-OFDM symbol and a second part of N samples of the ACO-OFDM symbol. The correlation minimum may indicate an estimated boundary of the ACO-OFDM symbol which may provide the WTRU with timing synchronization information. Where the ACO-OFDM signal may include one or more ACO-OFDM pilot symbols on one or more pilot subcarriers, the WTRU may interpret an amount of training data included in the one or more ACO-OFDM pilot symbols that may provide information for channel estimation.

Abstract:

A method and apparatus for coexistence among wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) operating in the same spectrum are disclosed. A WTRU includes a memory, a receive unit, a transmit unit and a control unit. The memory stores coexistence gap patterns. Each of the coexistence gap patterns defines a pattern of transmission periods and silent periods for the WTRU and corresponds to a respective duty cycle. The receive unit receives from a base station information regarding a duty cycle for a wireless cell operated by the base station. The control unit selects one of the coexistence gap patterns based on the received information regarding the duty cycle for the wireless cell and controls the transmit unit to transmit information during the transmission periods and not transmit information during the silent periods of the selected one of the plurality of coexistence gap patterns.

Coexistence gaps may permit one radio access technology (RAT) to coexists with another RAT by providing period in which one RAT may be silent and another may transmit. Methods may account for the RAT traffic and for the presence of other secondary users in a channel. Methods may be provided to dynamically change the parameters of a coexistence gap pattern, such as the duty cycle, to adapt to both the RAT traffic and the presence of other secondary users. Abstract:

A ready-to-eat cereal is prepared from a cookie formulation, including flour, sugar, shortening or fat and a bowl-life extender. The bowl-life extender includes a waxy starch, preferably a pregelatinized starch from waxy maize in an effective amount to improve the bowl life of the cereal pieces without causing the cereal pieces to become excessively firm. A cold water swelling granular starch is also included with the pregelatinized waxy starch to improve bowl life of the cereal. The dough is prepared by mixing the ingredients to form a cookie dough-like consistency. The dough may be rotary molded or sheeted and cut into bite-size pieces and baked to leaven the cereal pieces. The baked pieces may then be coated with an optional sugar glaze.

A Sidelink AS group management function is disclosed for a UE to discover group members and organize them into AS layer sub-groups based on the AS layer group context information. A centralized Sidelink AS group management is disclosed that the Sidelink AS Group Manager discovers group members and organizes them into AS layer sub-groups for a UE. A Subgroup formation and configuration procedure is disclosed that SL AS Group Manager organizes the ULG into AS layer sub-groups, configures UE-to-UE relays for each UE in the ULG and sends the AS group management information to the UE. A distributed Sidelink AS group management method is disclosed that each UE discovers its group members and organizes the ULG into AS layer sub-groups. New Layer 2 structures and procedures are disclosed to enhance bearer management for Sidelink groupcast communications.
