Abstract:

One exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a folding knife comprising a blade (), a blade housing () having an interior and an exterior, a folding element () connecting the blade () to the interior (--) of the blade housing (), and one or more sharpening elements, e. g. , (-) connected to the interior (--) of the blade housing (). In one embodiment, the folding blade comprises a convex side (-) with an angled bevel (--″) and further comprises a hollow ground side (-′) with a small raised flat bevel (-′), the blade further comprising a sharp edge () formed by the intersection of the angled bevel (--″) and the small raised flat bevel (-′). A method of making such folding knife blades is also provided.

Abstract:

In an exemplary sharpening element storage embodiment of the present invention, a sharpening element () may be inserted in a groove () that would be provided in an interior wall () of a knife handle (or knife blade housing) (). When the first notch (), located in the blade's tongue (), in the knife blade () is aligned with the conforming shape of the first end () of the groove (), it would be possible to move the sharpening element () in the direction of the opposing handle part (not shown), out from the groove (), in order to extract the sharpening element () completely out from the knife handle () for use.

Abstract:

A self-locking clip may include a first member configured to attach to an item, the first member having a tongue arranged adjacent the item when the first member is attached to the item, the tongue configured to allow an article to be received between the tongue and the item when the first member is attached to the item; a second member pivotally attached to the first member, the second member having at least one engagement surface for engaging the article, when the first member is attached to the item and the article is received between the tongue and the item; and a bias member arranged to bias the second member to pivot in a direction to urge the at least one engagement surface toward the article to engage the article, when the first member is attached to the item and the article is received between the tongue and the item.
