Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for delivery of reactants to a substrate processing chamber. An electronically controlled valve assembly is provided for rapid delivery of pulses of reactants to the chamber. The valve assembly comprises a valve body having a valve seat, and at least one gas inlet and one gas outlet below the seat. The piston is selectively movable within the valve body to open and close the valve. In order to actuate the valve assembly, current is sent to a solenoid coil within the valve body. The solenoid coil generates a magnetic field that acts on an adjacent magnetic member. The solenoid coil, magnetic member and piston are arranged such that relative movement of the coil and magnetic member cause the piston to be moved relative to the valve seat.

Abstract:

An IC uses a tunable interconnect driver between a data source and a data destination to selectively slow down (“de-tune”) data signals. Data sent along relatively short paths are de-tuned to reduce power supply noise during synchronous switching events. In some embodiments, the tunable interconnect driver delays data transmission relative to an un-delayed signal path, in other embodiments, the slew rate of the tunable interconnect driver is selectively reduced.

Abstract:

A message handling system includes a computer controlled message processor for use in network configurations to store and forward low-speed messages between long distance and international communicators. Its use is based on dial-up connections between network nodes. Each message handler unit includes a microprocessor, program and buffer storage memories, line multiplexing circuitry, modems and input/output peripheral devices. The message handler unit may comprise a 32 port system, 30 of which are used as input ports and two of which are used as high-speed output ports. A journal of all message numbers is maintained on a printer for complete message accountability.
