Abstract:

A robot which incorporates a body, arms with a hand grip, legs, several sensors, light elements, an audio system, and a video system. The sensors allows the robot to interact with objects in the room, and prevents the robot from traveling off an edge or bumping into obstacles. The light elements allow the robot to express moods. The audio system allows the robot to detect and transmit sounds. The video system allows a user to remotely view the area in front of the robot. Additionally, the robot may operate in a plurality of modes, including modes that allow the robot to operate autonomously. The robot may operate autonomously in an automatic mode, a security mode, a greet mode, and a monitor mode. Further, the robot is manipulated remotely.

Abstract:

A device for dispensing items comprises a cabinet having an interior for storing items. A dispenser frame is coupled to the cabinet and is configured to be accessed, such as by pulling the dispenser frame from the cabinet. The dispenser frame includes a plurality of dividers that are configured to hold the plurality of dispensing mechanisms that each hold multiple items within the storage area. Further, the dividers are reconfigurable to permit the arrangement of the dispensing mechanisms to be adjusted. A lockable door is coupled to the front of the cabinet in front of the dispenser frame. The door may be opened to provide access to the interior of the cabinet and to the dispenser frame. A dispense drawer is positioned below the storage area so that items dispensed from the dispensing mechanisms fall into the dispense drawer, where they may be accessed by pulling open the dispense drawer.

Abstract:

The present invention is a robot which incorporates abode, two arms, two legs, several sensors, an audio system, a light assembly, and a video device. A signal processing system for permitting a user to set certain system parameters includes at least one compander, at least one system volume control for setting system gain, and at least one transform engine responsive to the user-set parameter or parameters for controlling the operation of the compander and the setting of the system volume control. Abstract:

Nail care systems in accordance with embodiments of the present invention can include a housing and a nail clipper associated with the housing, the nail clipper having an upper member and a lower member banded by an upper lever and a lower lever. Cutting blades associated with the members can be pinched together by actuating the levers. A container formed between the members can receive nail clippings ejected away from the nail. A nail filer associated with the housing includes a rotatable file that can be used to file nails.
